Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the Tea on the Green lunch board, a sandwich or panini with salad, crisps and a scone with jam and clotted cream, which repeat visitors call lovely and great value. Close behind are the freshly made food, with a quiche of the day platter and soup of the day mentioned, and the friendly staff. One diner describes a Friday tapas evening served in stages on the outdoor seating, ending with puddings and baklava, and two note that bringing their own alcohol was met with glasses. A vegan diner's daughter was pleased with the vegan food put together for her, and another reviewer praises a buffet for a wake, especially the cake, with flexibility about guest numbers. Coffee and breakfast or brunch also earn praise. The one serious complaint is from a reviewer with an onion intolerance who reports a reaction after a veggie roll they had been told contained no onions, and who says the staff member they contacted afterward was defensive and did not recall the request.

“I have an onion intolerance and asked the waitress to ensure no onions in my veggie roll, to which she assured me there were none in that item. I had an almost immediate reaction and had to rush home to take 2 prescription strength anti histamines. When I contacted the cafe , asking them to check if there were onions in the hash brown, the woman got very defensive and told me she didn't recall my mentioning onions. Beware! I was lucky and recovered, others may not be as fortunate.”

“A super buffet for 50 for my Aunt's wake. Looked lovely and so many of the guests commented on the quality of the food, especially the cake! Very helpful and flexible about us not knowing exact numbers and the service was efficient and friendly too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and would definitely use them again.”
