Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise friendly, polite staff and freshly made food, with chicken korma, chicken pakora, onion bhajis, sag paneer and garlic naan named at family, work group and birthday meals. Takeaway orders are described as piping hot, fresh and generous, with quick service. Close behind, several call the atmosphere friendly, relaxed, warm and spacious. The complaints are pointed. One diner found a vegetable biriani and chicken jaipur jalfry bland, with a soggy onion bhaji and flabby, undercooked naan. Another called the korma vile in colour and taste and said staff were uninterested and added extra cost to the bill. A third found the lamb tough and the chicken oily, and slow, unfriendly service recurs. One couple was handed the bill unasked on a Saturday night and told the restaurant was closing. One fasting diner recalls a waiter quietly bringing a date, unasked, to break the fast.

“Use to be the best in town but was awful went with a group of work friends and the service was slow. The Korma colour and taste was vile which we made them aware of and they weren't interested. Even tried to add extra cost on the bill. Didnt help with lettinh us pay and take it off the bill just told us to pay or work it out ourselves. Lazy and rude staff.”

“Brilliant takeaway experience! The food was packed with authentic flavours and tasted amazing from the first bite to the last. Everything was well-presented, and clearly made with care. The staff were friendly and service was quick and reliable. Great value for money too. Easily a new go-to for a proper Indian takeaway can’t wait to order again. Big shoutout to the bossman”

“Food was bland. I had a vegetable biriani with a vegetable curry and it was tasteless and dull with no flavour whatsoever. My partner had a chicken jaipur jalfry and although the sauce was colourful it was really bland with no flavour at all. The onion bhaji was soggy and the naan bread was flabby and undercooked. The staff were miserable and more interested in chatting amongst themselves in their native tongue than attending to our needs. In fact we were given the bill without asking for it and told we had to leave as they were closing soon. Bearing in mind this was a Saturday night and about 10 pm. We previously had a meal here about 6 months earlier and although it wasn't great it wasn't as awful as this one. £55 later and a bad taste in our mouths we dutifully left as we had been told to. Unless you like bland food and miserable staff avoid this place at all costs!”
