Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the roast and main plates, naming a smokie fish pie, harissa chicken with chunky chips, and a pork loin roast, with a Sunday and Father's Day roast that came in meat and vegan versions. Close behind are the staff, described as friendly, personable and attentive even on a busy day, along with a good beer and gin selection and desserts that also come in vegan options. A few mention the kids' mac and cheese and plenty of parking. The complaints carry real weight. One reviewer found the battered fish overdone and dry, and says the fish pies were so hot that waiting did not help and they burned the roof of their mouth. Another says that since new management took over, the kids' play area was removed, portions shrank, and a small bucket of chips cost £6.50 with a tip not optional. One calls the food a little pricey, and one vegan diner missed a Yorkshire pudding. One family was seated outside without a reservation when the inside was fully booked.

“I used to really enjoy going to the Worlds End, great beer good food and great for the kid's as they were able to play and keep themselves busy while the adults could have a catch up... Unfortunately since the new management have taken over it's seems to be more catered for maximum profit... 1) Removed kids play area. And added more tables outside. 2) Smaller food portions. (£6:50) + tip not optional for a small bucket of chips and I mean small.. (Beer selection is good though).. This is obviously just my opinion but after the last visit I shan't be returning.. It's a shame..”

“Really enjoy going to the Worlds End - can normally rely on good food, service and friendly staff. On this occasion whilst the service and staff were excellent. I think the food needs a mention - the battered fish was well overdone, batter was crunchy and tough getting through it was so overcooked and dry. The fish pies that were served were more than piping hot and despite waiting 5 minutes for them to cool down the two of us had to hold a fork fulls in the air to cool. I burned the roof of my mouth with one particularly hot portion I am quite angry that this happened as the roof of my mouth is quite tender now.”

“This was close to our Airbnb for the Goodwood FOS so we looked it up on Google. Have you say, what a great place. Good food and good value. Quick service and plenty of parking. I'd definitely go back if staying in the vicinity next year for FOS 27.”

“Went for roast dinner on father's day. Both the meat and vegan options were fantastic (just a shame no Yorkshire pud for the vegan one though!), as well as the desserts (with vegan options too!). Staff were brilliant, very personable and attentive despite it being a very busy, hot day. Would highly recommend.”

“Popped in after a morning out with the family. Was fully booked inside but they were able to seat us outside with no reservation. Ordering was fine, my phone didn't like the QR code option but luckily my wife's did. Food was really good. I had the pork loin roast. My 4yr old had Mac and cheese. He loved it. "Almost as good as mummy's" he said.”
