About Maneki Ramen Worcester
Maneki Ramen Worcester is a ramen restaurant at Arch 45 in Worcester, set beneath railway arches with arched ceilings overhead. Seating includes booths and communal bench-style tables, so the room works for both small parties and shared tables. The kitchen cooks ramen bowls, with Tonkotsu Pork among the broths, and serves Katsu Curry as a main. Gyoza sit among the starters. Vegan options are built into the menu structure rather than limited to a single dish, and the team will discuss the menu and adjust dishes for dietary needs. The restaurant takes walk-ins. Sake is served by the carafe.

“Maneki Ramen is Worcester’s go-to destination for authentic Japanese cuisine. Our menu features carefully crafted ramen bowls with rich, savoury broths like Tonkotsu Pork, Kimchi Chicken, and Roast Duck Sichuan, paired with perfectly cooked Tokyo noodles and quality ingredients. For something hearty, our Katsu Curry with Karaage Chicken, Chashu Pork, or Crispy Tofu is a favourite. Looking for small plates? Try the Karaage Chicken, Fried Tebasaki Wings, Gyoza, or Sichuan Smashed Cucumber Salad—ideal for sharing. For a change of pace, enjoy our Yaki Soba with crispy duck or tofu, or one of our satisfying Donburi bowls. Round off your meal with a dessert like Matcha Cheesecake or Miso Custard Caramel Tart. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the staff, described as friendly and welcoming, and one visitor says they had time to talk through the menu. The railway arch setting comes close behind, called quirky, with high arched ceilings, cosy booths and outdoor seating under heaters. On the food, diners name the smashed cucumber salad, gyoza and incredibly crunchy karaage, along with ramen bowls, katsu curry and a custard tart, and one table liked the desserts so much they ordered all of them. A couple of reviewers call it the best ramen around, and one praises vegan options built into the menu rather than a token tick box. The main complaint comes from one reviewer who found the ramen bowls and katsu curry missing something and not very flavourful, with the vegetables mostly beansprouts, and who did not plan to return. Another reviewer notes that dietary changes were accommodated with no fuss.

“Beautiful independent oasis of excellence and friendliness! Lucky cat, even luckier dog! Every dish a masterpiece. The smashed cucumber salad perfect on one of the hottest days of the year. The rice crackers light and perfect with that intriguing little dish. Every mouthful of every dish complex and perfectly balanced. The Gyoza delicate, the Karaage incredibly crunchy… the desserts, we couldn’t choose so had them all! We will be back now we’ve found this special part of Worcester. Might even try the axe throwing in your neighbour’s place.”

“I had a rare night off parenting duties this week and decided to spend the evening at Maneki Ramen, alone, save for a copy of Gardeners' World magazine for company. It was blissful. I've been before with my husband, which was lovely, but tonight was really special. The waitress couldn't have been lovelier and the food was exceptional. I didn't want it to end. I decided to push the boat out and have a small carafe of sake and a beautiful custard tart for pud. If I ever get the chance to spend the evening alone again, I know where I'll be heading for dinner. Thank you Maneki x”

“First time trying Maneki, first thing I'll say is the presentation of the food is fantastic. We ordered a variety of starters which were all very tasty, a nice variety of drinks too. The mains... we had ramen bowls and a katsu curry. The katsu was great (as it usually is), but all of the dishes were missing 'something', perhaps it was our choices but it wasn't super flavourful. I would've loved some carrot or tenderstem broccoli, not sure if that's authentic but the veg was mostly Beansprouts. Really nice staff and atmosphere, the food I just didn't enjoy enough for a return visit.”
