  “I moored the narrowboat alongside Fuime, thought I’d pop in for nice cold pint of lager and a packet of pork scratchings on such a beautifully sunny and hot day. As I approached the outside area I soon noted that I’d arrived somewhere special. Ordered a pint of Poretti and a packet of pork stretchings, No snacks available, this turned out to be great news. Quick decision - let’s treat myself…. The next hour or so was just simply perfect. Fantastic food! Had the Pasta alla Bolignese full of flavour & texture. Just perfect. The taste was amazing. Then for a brief period I hummed and hawed about having a desert, I didn’t want to loose the taste of the main coarse. However I’m glad I stuck to my old habits of always having a sweet course. I’m pleased to say that my Turamisu was just as impressive as the pasta. My waiter was Ashley. His welcome, service and character are just what’s needed in such a fine establishment. Fiume is a great establishment with great food & service. The decor and setting are idyllic. This is def a place for treats and special occasions. (Most of the customers were well dressed, especially the females) Classic and yet contemporary food served in a well presented venue, perfect. Thank you to all at Fiume.”

  “Best Italian in the Midlands. Better than all of the ones I’ve tried in Birmingham. Been going for 10+ years now and this place doesn’t disappoint! Food is always 10/10 and fresh. Great atmosphere and great service. Their seafood pasta dishes and pizzas are 🔥”

  “I have visited here 4 times now and it is honestly one of my favourite restaurants of all time. The portion sizes are incredible value for money with no quality sacrificed. I recommend this restaurant to everyone and it remains a go to for birthdays and celebrations. Me and my partner visited Milan and still swear this is the best Italian food we have ever had. I personally recommend the arancini starter, marciello pasta main, the cheesy garlic bread side and garlic and herb fries. I have tried other dishes from here including salmon and steak and each have been nothing short of perfect. There is a lovely ambience to this restaurant and has always made it perfect for date night or birthday get togethers.”
