Customer Review Summary

Curries and tandoori dishes anchor the praise. Butter chicken is described as smooth and creamy with soft, tender chicken, and a family table liked the chicken tikka masala, murgh masala and sag paneer. Close behind is the tandoori mixed platter, where reviewers single out the chicken tikka, sheekh kebabs and meat chops. Portions are called big or generous again and again. Others mention garlic and cheese naan, juicy king prawns, fish pakora, and a chicken tikka biryani that arrived piping hot, along with crunchy poppadoms and mocktails. Breakfast gets its own nod, with authentic parathas alongside masala beans and a desi omelette. Service is described as friendly and polite, with nothing too much trouble for a table with kids. The one complaint is a group booking of 12 that required a deposit, even though no one else was in the restaurant while plenty of delivery orders were collected. One reviewer who ordered direct from the website received a small online discount and asks others to order direct to support local businesses.

“I ordered Nekare breakfast yesterday and it tasted 10/10. Really good price for the portion size and the freshness of everyone was lovely. Parathas had an authentic taste and went really well with the masala beans and desi omelette. I’d definitely go back again with my family :) Can’t wait to try the full English next time!”

“Phenomenal family meal—we will definitely be back! Visited Nekare with the family, including the kids, and honestly couldn't fault a single thing. We all absolutely loved it. We started off with poppadoms which were lovely and crunchy, and the mocktails were absolutely delicious. But the real star of the show was the Tandoori Mixed Platter along with the Curries. The flavour on everything was amazing—the chicken tikka was spot on, the sheekh kebabs were great, and the meat chops were incredible. Plus, the portion sizes across the board were really generous. What made the night even better was the service. Shabs was amazing, and the young lady who looked after us was so polite and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them, which is a massive help when you have kids with you. It’s also worth mentioning that the place is spotless, and even the toilets were really clean and tidy. Honestly a 10/10 experience. Huge thanks to Shabs and the team for looking after us so well!”

“I am a very fussy eater, but due to good reviews I decided it was time to give nekare a try. I ordered the butter chicken and rice with a garlic and cheese naan and I was not disappointed! The portion size was big, and the taste was phenomenal. The rice was fresh, and the butter chicken was smooth and creamy with soft, tender chicken. The naan was just perfect. I cannot recommend nekare enough!”

“This is a copy of my trip-advisor review from @GeorgeTheTraveller I wish I could rate this 10! I came here on the 4th July 2026 with my family of 6 for an early evening meal. We were very impressed by the service and the friendliness of the staff. My nan says Shabs is lovely The atmosphere is very nice with the calm lighting the quiet music and the general theme of the restaurant. The tables were laid out nicely so it is easy to move around. The location is easy to access because it is near a main road. There is also parking spaces outside so you can park your car up. The food was high quality food and the food was quickly cooked the portion sizes were really big. My mum liked the sab paneer because it was tasty My dad liked the murgh masala because of it was tasty My Grandad liked the mushroom and chicken deluxe it was recommend to him by a friend My Nan had the chicken tikka masala because she always has it and she liked it Overall, me and my family had a really nice meal and all of me and my family will definitely come here again.
