Quick info
About Balti Palace
Balti Palace is an Indian restaurant at 231A Trysull Rd in Wolverhampton, open daily for evenings only. The menu includes combination dishes, which let a table try more than one curry in a single order, such as a chicken pathia paired with a chicken Balti. Chicken jalfrezi and lamb balti sit among the other curries, and garlic naan and peshwari naan are the breads that go alongside them. Guests can bring their own alcoholic drinks to have with the meal, which suits a group sharing several curries. The dining room is dark inside and uses table lights.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the food, describing dishes as full of flavour and fresh, with the lamb balti singled out as lovely alongside a chicken pathia, chicken jalfrezi and a combination dish that lets a table try more than one curry. Close behind, several mention friendly service and a nice atmosphere, and one regular recalls a delivery handed over with a handshake and extra rice. One reviewer likes that guests can bring their own alcoholic drinks. Complaints centre on the welcome and the kitchen's consistency. Two families say that when they arrived at 9.30pm they were asked how long they would stay, even though the website lists a later closing time. Another reviewer describes a rude remark from a young server, a poor keema naan, small portions and high prices, while one says service was painfully slow in an empty dining room and the interior very dark. A takeaway diner found the king prawn bhuna prawns rubbery and inedible, though the sauce was nice.

“As a family, we have been a customer for years here. Haven’t had a delivery or been out for a couple of months due to family issues. We ordered tonight, the delivery was made with a handshake and a great smile… these guys are the best. Thank you.🙏 appreciated the extra rice too…”

“Worst experience ever. We went with family and kids, first thing thing they asked what time we leave and how long will it take for us to finish eating at 9:30pm although they are supposed to be opened until 11pm! Never go there, rude ppl.”

“Young chap with glasses didn't seem like he wanted to be there. Said something quite rude but hey we all have bad days. Food is ok, keema nan was poor and portion sizes are not great and considering the local competition the prices are high. Not the course for this horse”
