About Elly's
On Maypole St in Wolverhampton, Elly's is a cafe with a menu spanning 124 dishes, from a Caesar salad and Parma ham and rocket salad to fish finger and chips and Pasta Napoli. Focaccia sandwiches, including chicken and caprese, sit alongside a full English breakfast, and the acai bowls come in flavors such as Lotus Lover, biscoff, and dubai. Lattes round out the drinks list, with flat white, Spanish latte, soya latte, and hazelnut iced latte options at the counter. The cafe operates on a walk-in basis daily, though booking ahead is worth considering as tables can fill. Dogs are welcome inside, and high chairs are available for families with young children. Orders can also be taken away for eating off site. The seating area is small to medium, and free parking is available nearby for a limited time.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers consistently return for the açai bowls, with the Lotus Lover, biscoff, and Dubai versions all singled out for their generous portions and flavor, one diner comparing them favorably to açai eaten worldwide. Close behind, breakfast dishes draw repeated praise, especially the full English, Parma ham with eggs and rocket, and bacon pancakes, alongside standout drinks like the hazelnut iced latte, Spanish latte, and dragon fruit and mango cooler. The marry me chicken pasta and chicken and caprese focaccias also earn specific mentions for their portion size. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is described as relaxed. The recurring caveat is booking: several reviewers note it's hard to get a table without reserving ahead, though most who walked in were still accommodated. One reviewer flags limited seating and a lack of step-free access as a drawback. Multiple diners say they returned after a first visit or plan to come back to try more of the menu.

“Stopped here on a Sunday mid-morning and we're greeted by lovely and friendly staff. It was clear that its very popular with the locals as most tables had been reserved. Spanish latte and a breakfast were the order of the day for me, and my …”

“Love it here! Have been twice in the past couple of months due to the great service and tasty food. I love Acai bowls and tried both the biscoff and the dubai ones and are both great - don’t scrimp on the portions. I recommend the biscoff if you have a sweet tooth, the flavours compliment very well but is extremely sweet! I love to pair this with the tator tots to counter the sweetness. Great variety of drinks. Haven’t booked both times and they have managed to fit us in but would recommend booking if you can!”

“We booked on the day to pop into Elly’s and they were brilliant about fitting us in. I came with my well-behaved dog and we felt right at home. We ordered a chicken focaccia, a caprese focaccia, a soya latte and an …”

“Everyone enjoyed their meal although I only had a coffee. Drinks were very nice at a decent price. Nice selection of cakes and the milkshakes looked amazing! Not wheelchair accessible though due to steps.”

“Highly recommend visiting! I have wanted to visit for quite a while, but struggled to be able to book in. We decided to wing it and visit at 9am on a Saturday morning, as they said they kept tables for walk ins. There were plenty of tables available, and there were places to park around the cafe for free (for up to 90mins). We had a Lotus Lover Açai bowl, bacon pancakes, hazelnut iced latte and a flat white. Everything was fantastic. The açai bowl rivalled açai that we have had all around the world & so worth the money at £9.50! (We paid £12 for a tiny portion in Manchester the week before). Coffees were also fab. We will be returning 🥰”

How this listing is sourced
- Where the data comes from
- Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
- How it stays current
- Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
- How it is ranked
- Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
