Customer Review Summary

Diners most often praise the food, with the crispy shredded chicken singled out by one returning customer who would drive hours for it, and others describing dishes as fresh, red hot and delicious. The all you can eat format has guests ordering from the menu and being served at the table, with one pair working through 21 dishes and another through 6 starters and 6 mains. Several also mention the decor, including the bridge, water, lighting and garden. Staff draw mixed comments. Some call them lovely, helpful and prompt, while others found them abrupt when the place was busy and wished the ordering system had been explained. The two lowest reviews are specific. One diner received shredded duck that was all fat with burnt skin, then a wrong order, and mains that arrived cold well before the sides. Another was told by phone that sesame-free food was possible, then told at the table that everything is fried in sesame oil. Both were still charged, one in full with a service charge added.

“Went here for Mother’s Day and the food and service was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this place 😃 Really good Chinese food 🥘 and other South East Asian dishes”

“Went here 2 years ago and it was great, shame we can't say the same this time. It was probably one of the worst meals ive ever had and the service was appalling. The shredded duck was all fat, big lumps, not shredded, burnt skin. It was disgusting. Then they brought us the wrong food, asked us to order again which we did. The mains came, good ten minutes before sides came ,so meat and fish dishes were cold. The meat was huge big piece's ( no eating that with chopsticks). We complained were still charged in full, and what a insult adding service charge. Will not be going back, so if you want to save money and get a lovely dinner. AVOID”

“Best Chinese we've had in a long time! We went just as it opened on a Tuesday evening and everything was red hot, and fresh. I do feel as though the staff are constantly watching tables, which people have mentioned it made them feel rushed, but I genuinely think they are making sure everyone has what they need, and whether they can get you anymore food. It was slightly pricey, but the food really was fantastic, and the staff were very lovely. We paid £94 for 3 people and 5 drinks. Will definitely return”

“Very disappointing experience. Before coming, we called the restaurant specifically because I have a sesame allergy. We asked clearly if they could prepare food without sesame, and they told us yes — they only said that when we arrived, we should remind the staff about the allergy. So we went there, sat down, ordered, and I informed them again about my sesame allergy. Only then they told us that they fry everything in oil with sesame and that they could not prepare anything for me. This is completely unacceptable. If they had told us the truth on the phone, we simply would not have come. For a restaurant to give false reassurance about an allergy is extremely irresponsible, especially when this concerns someone’s health. To make matters worse, I was still charged 13 euros for one Coke and one single whiskey, even though the whole situation was caused by their lack of honesty and poor communication. Very frustrating and very unprofessional.”

“Lovely food, will definitely return. Thought the staff might of better explained how the ordering worked since hadn't been before and some of our party didn't understand. They were incredibly busy which was maybe why it seemed staff attitude was a little abrupt with us.”
