Customer Review Summary

Food quality splits opinion more sharply. Reviewers describe chicken balls that were re-fried and hard, or like frozen nuggets, alongside skimpy frozen chips, a chicken fried rice that was very salty with a bone that cut a gum, and fatty pork and tasteless beef. The prawn crackers are called fairly poor, and one reviewer says they need a spend over a set amount to get them free. One reviewer asked for a kung po without prawns and received it with prawns, and another says a wrong dish was sent and they were then accused of lying. Several say standards have slipped, and one says prices keep creeping up.

“Service friendly and with a smile. Rather untidy shop. Counter untidy and to the right behind the counter looks an unorganised storage room. Asked for a special Kung po with no prawns and fried rice. I got a special Kung po with prawns. Not what I asked for and anyone with food allergies please be careful. The pork was fatty, the beef tasteless and the chicken okay. The sauce was just very sweet. Fried rice fine. Plusses were plenty of tasty veg and the rice was fine. There is a car park across the road. Far better Chinese takeaways in the area in my opinion.”

“This is my favourite Chinese takeaway. The service is great. I usually phone for a collection and all food is ready when I arrive. If I do get a delivery, the delivery time is usually only about 30-40 minutes, which is another plus. The menu is always being added to and there is a great variety, their satay sauce is my favourite right now.”

“We've been going here for at least ten years. Tried a few others locally and this is the one we always end up going back to. I drive past about seven Chinese's just to go here. Consistently good, and always great service.”
