Customer Review Summary

Friendly staff and a generous all you can eat spread draw the most praise, with reviewers describing a great selection, hot food arriving quickly, and so much to eat. Several celebrated birthdays here, and one says staff promised a special happy birthday for their party. A few call it good value, though one found some items flavourless and the staff slow to notice requests for more. The complaints are serious and cluster around large group bookings. Reviewers describe long waits for food, cold soup, burnt duck, seaweed that tasted of burnt oil, and stodgy, clumpy egg fried rice with one small bowl for six. Two report a freezing dining room with diners keeping their coats on, and one party was crammed onto a round table. A group of 23 says main course orders had not been taken long after the booking time, and the family ended up paying half the bill after complaining. Others describe staff rolling their eyes, even as one reviewer called a server lovely but rushed off her feet.

“Our party was on 2 different tables so couldn't see them or speak to them. I couldn't eat my food properly because my party members kept on elbowing me in the face due to no space on the table as we had been crammed on a round table. We were all early to our booking, But waited an hour for food,we got there for 18.50pm our booking was 7 till 10 we didn't eat until 8.25, Then the soup was cold and had meat init so very worrying, starters where okayish.. the mains where awful.. the duck was burnt. The seaweed tasted awful as they used burned oil to cook it. The food was just the worsed Chinese food ive ever had, There was a Scouse girl, who was serving she was lovely and so helpful but rushed off her feet trying to please everyone with drinks orders etc, poor girl.. the other staff were rude rolled there eyes at us, they spoke to me and my family and friends like crap, threw food to us as we had a large dish in the middle of the table like we were animals, then a young girl ingnored me, when I shouted her over for help to get more food as there wasnt enough brought out for all of us, our friends were sat with no food for another 30 mins as they didn't want starters.. so we had to eat while they had nothing. The whole night was ruined, it was our friends birthday and mine and my husband's wedding anniversary. It cost alot of money and we paid it but , I should've just walked out.. I won't be returning here ever again and if you are reading this beware..”

“6 people attending for my fiancés 60th firstly no heating all the people including our party had to sit around in winter coats, the food was warm but not hot or fresh, the rice was days old and was supposed to be egg fried rice which lacked egg, should have not been clumpy or stodgy abd was barely warm and 1 small bowl between 6 of us, we felt rushed and with a bill of £168 was a bit insulting, we had the impression that complaining was pointless as the staff where not interested in customer care service but more about minimal effort with food left overs from Sunday rehashed for Tuesday, ad this place was shut Monday, I’ve been to enough Chinese restaurants in my years to know what’s fresh and not warmed up left overs. We won’t be going back hence to say and generally I’m quiet a laid back person but this establishment failed on all fronts, we could not get comfortable due to the cold conditions and even asked a member of the staff to close the kitchen door which had the outside door to the kitchen open creating further cold conditions compounding the lack of heating, I would be suprised if the owners answer this which reflects on they don’t care about potential or existing customers”
