Quick info
About Peking Palace
Peking Palace is a Chinese takeaway in Liverpool, at 80 Aigburth Rd, that cooks Chinese dishes alongside chippy food. Chips go with the meals, so one order can pair chop suey with chips and a portion of mushrooms. That mix of Chinese cooking and chip shop fare is the draw for anyone who wants both in a single order. The kitchen opens in the evenings only, Tuesday to Sunday, and closes on Mondays.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers split sharply. The main draw is flavourful, fresh-tasting food, and the salt and pepper box is the item one reviewer calls a must. Others describe generous portions, food still piping hot and crunchy on arrival, chips that taste of fresh oil, and friendly staff, plus quick online ordering and delivery. The chicken and sweet corn soup is the one dish a critical reviewer liked. Complaints are just as concrete. One reviewer found the house special curry and Singapore vermicelli terrible and the egg fried rice far too dark with soy. Another describes smashed chopsuey and cold, undercooked chips, and says they may report the shop to the health department. One says the place reeked of old oil, and another says a delivery never arrived and that the owner and driver shouted and called them a liar. A further reviewer ordered seven fish dinners with no gravy and received them all soggy, covered in gravy, and with peas.

“Hi, I have to tell you about this chippy, O.M.G. Years ago it was good for like you would expect ,right across the board, Now, Well, The food i got was absolutely disgusting, an I mean that sincerely from my heart, I would not give it to an animal, or anyone or anything else, Apsolute trash, The chopsuwie was smashed and hacked to bits, in a plastic container 175ml, Yep them ones, Chips cold under cooked, an mushroom was Apsolute waist of time. O, Was well overcharged also, c I ordered 1 meal chips and a portion of mushrooms, Over 18 pounds, And was only fit for the bin, So be warned, Had to come on here and let you all know, May also report them to the department of health.”

“By far the worst chinese of all time,I've travelled all over the far east and experienced great food, this is not.egg fried rice should have the tiniest amount of soy sauce, this was darker than my husband and he's dark, the house special curry was terrible as was the Singapore vermicelli, I'm preying I don't get sick cus when I put that food in my mouth I was worried,it didn't feel or taste right.the chicken and sweet corn soup was the only nice dish”

“food never arrived called 2 times, owner first said my order never existed then said it had already arrived, owner and delivery driver came out to my house shouted and called me a liar. Delivery driver said he took a photo of the door when he delivering but never showed me the proof of the photo and both proceeded to ignore me and drove away. As i am a young girl this really shook me as it was 2 older men calling me a liar!!!!”
