Customer Review Summary
Fish and chips draw the most praise, with one diner calling them the best in years and another noting the chips were freshly cooked. Close behind are the Chinese dishes. Reviewers single out the special chow mein, described as huge and packed with meat, prawns and vegetables, and the big, crunchy chop suey rolls with a good amount of filling. A family passing through also called the curry delicious. Service splits sharply. Several describe rudeness: one was ignored at the counter while later arrivals were served, and another reports a dispute with the owner's son over whether an order had been paid for. A few note slow waits on busy days, with phone orders seemingly prioritised over those in the shop. One reviewer found a chicken curry with fried rice so salty it was inedible. A regular who received burned fish on a phone order says a request for a replacement piece was refused.

“Came in to order and was literally blanked the entire time, was stood right in front of the woman at the counter who pretended like I didn't even exist and she went on to serve 2-3 people who came in after me, walked out and went to the other one round the corner - just rude 👎🏼👎🏼”

“Been going to this chippy since I was a young child.. went tonight and ordered my food my partner went the cash machine to withdraw cash while I ordered our food paid before receiving which I've never had a problem with before went back into purchase another item to go with my order to be told I haven't paid when I blatantly did the son of the owner was stood arguing in front of other customers being disrespectful towards myself and my partner when all we wanted was our food that we had paid for, i was being polite and calm when speaking to the son while he was raising his voice in front of his parentswho looked at me and walked off.. a person walked past and told me it's not the first time they've conned money out of customers.. will not being ordering from them ever again. Would rate a 0 star if I could.”
