About Hannah's

Filled bagels made to order anchor the menu at Hannah's, a café on Acacia Grove in Wirral, with fillings such as avocado and bacon or pastrami and cheese. Breakfast is served in the morning, and the full English comes with sausages and mushrooms. Customers are seated on arrival, and the team takes orders at the table. Vegan choices on the menu are limited, though dishes are adapted on request. A range of cakes is available, and they can be taken home to eat off site. Outdoor seating gives the option of eating outdoors, and dogs are welcome alongside their owners. The step-free entrance suits visitors with mobility needs, and high chairs make space for families with young children. Doors open daily, and booking ahead is recommended.

Customer Review Summary

Breakfast is what brings most reviewers back, and the full English draws the warmest praise, one diner singling out the sausages and mushrooms as the highlight of a plate that arrived hot and cooked to perfection. Close behind are the freshly made bagels, with the avocado and bacon and the pastrami and cheese both shared and approved, plus a large range of cakes that one visitor took home. Several also mention delicious coffee and staff who were friendly with young grandchildren, and one notes few vegan options though the kitchen was willing to adapt. Front of house is the recurring sore point: multiple parties describe being seated promptly and then ignored, never offered drinks, met with repeated "just a minute" as later arrivals were served first, and one reports a server turning defensive when the delay was raised, then avoiding the table. Two of those accounts end the same way, with the reviewers getting up and walking out before ordering.

“Not very many Vegan options available but they were willing to adapt. Friendly staff, lovely venue.”

“Delightful staff who serve you at your table. Large range of delicious cakes. A cool cafe even in the heatwave of 2026 because the west door onto Crescent Walk, and the east door onto Arcacìa Grove were carefully opened to create a though movement if air. Very clever! Well done. No needless music in the cafe, so I could hear the conversation of my friends. Well done. (Other cafes should take note.)”

“Similar to other reviews, it was a busy Saturday so happy to wait a little, but the servers seemed to have no system for seating and seeing to customers. They each kept saying ‘someone will be with you in a minute’. Their focus was sitting people down but then not taking orders or attending to tables. Tables that were seated after us got served first - not too much of a big deal but shows there was no system. Table next to us got up and left after 20 minutes waiting to order. Waitress finally came over to order so I told her they left and she said ‘not much I can do’ so I said ‘it was a little long, you seated lots of people when you could have taken their order’. She got very defensive and I said ‘well it’s your business’ and she replied ‘it’s not though’. So if this is your business, maybe take some time to speak to staff about how they represent you as after this short interaction, she also avoided our table rather than trying to improve our experience. Interesting work ethic and mindset for a busy cafe on a Saturday lunchtime. Not sure if I would recommend. Food was lovely and timely so they only problems was the front of house management. Many other customers around us looking frustrated either waiting to order extras (which they then didn’t so that’s a shame for business), or just waiting to pay.”

“Can’t rate the food because we haven’t got that far. We were taken to table when we came in, but that’s where this review really ends. Staff ignoring, not engaging with us or smiling. I come from catering management myself and I respect busy environments, but even in busy environments you can offer a great customer service, which we haven’t received. Not even drinks, sat there for over 20 mins, parched and hungry, with a lady kept coming past saying “ won’t be long, 2 minutes, just a second..” we got fed up of this behaviour and left. Looked lovely, but won’t be returning to even try to get served there. What made it worse, that some people came 10 mins after us and she served them almost immediately. I’d never would’ve done this in cafe where I work and would’ve trained staff to at least smile and speak to people.”

“Very disappointed. Not with the food, but the service. We came in and taken to table straight away.. that was it.. Absolutely ignored for next 25 minutes.. Not even offered drinks. Eventually, we asked if can make order... all we got as walked past .." in a minute" , "just a second" and " in a minute " Staff standing around. Chatting between themselves. Seeing to other people who came in after... Must stress, Hannah was not there.. We got up and left.. "we are busy " Always loved Hannahs”
