“This little gem in the heart of Wigan has to be the best location for food. The food really is exceptional. I know words get banded about like that left and right, but in this instance it’s an understatement. The menu constantly changes as they use fresh and available ingredients, this keeps things fresh for guests too. Today we had a good choice of starters, mains and deserts. There was just one menu, a 2-course or 3-course, but the prices were definitely on point. This made budgeting really easy and took the stress out of guests worrying about orders. Combined we had goats cheese and chicken wings for starters, waygu burgers and braised ox cheeks for main, and cream brûlée and sticky toffee pudding for desert. Everything is hand made and freshly cooked. The burgers and chips were out of this world. Proper dripping chips, real homemade gravy. How this place doesn’t have a rosette or mention in the Michelin Guide is beyond me. To top this off, the place is a family run independent business. Not only are you supporting local going here, but you’re getting some of the best food going in a good 20 mile radius. If you’ve not been, go. If you have, go back!”

“Me and my wife visited today. What a fantastic place. Nice atmosphere and comfortable. The food was exceptionally good. The wine was nice. All the staff were really nice and friendly too. Definitely one of the best in wigan. We will definitely be going back very soon.”

“Lovely place this, somewhat of a hidden gem that's been there around 15 years. We went for mother's Day and enjoyed the set menu at £32 for three courses that was good value for what we got. The good was great and good sized portions, the staff were busy but in control. The roast dinners come highly recommended. As is the pate, we'll be back soon.”
