Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise generous, very hot portions of curry, with one singling out the chicken tikka and the sauces and another calling the presentation very good. Close behind is the service, which several describe as welcoming, kind, polite and efficient even on a busy Friday evening. A few call the meal well priced, and one suggests saving room for the dessert menu. Complaints are fewer but specific. One reviewer who booked a Saturday table was bluntly told on arrival that the restaurant opened later than the agreed time, after finding midday hours listed online, and received no apology. Another describes slow, confused service, where a waiter could not understand a drinks order and a second told them to wait before ordering starters, so they left after two drinks and one starter. A takeaway customer found most of the food greasy and swimming in ghee. One group uses the restaurant as its yearly Christmas curry meeting point and plans to return next year.

“The Gaylord was absolutely rammed when I went in for my takeaway which is great. To be honest I don’t know why I eat this cuisine. It’s not particularly healthy, most of it’s greasy and swimming in Ghee. The window was firmly left ajar for ventilation all night long. I guess once in a while you need to go inside the Gaylord to realise it’s not for you.”

“I booked a table mid week by calling the restuarant. Arrived at the agreed time 5pm Saturday. Upon arrival the restuarant was closed and i was bluntly informed that it does not open till 5:30. No information on google, it states its open from midday. Not professional at all and very dissapointed by the rudeness of the staff and lack of understanding or any apology. We had a meal there the week before and enjoyeyed it. However, after seeing the true nature of service i will not be coming back.”

“Had a pre-booked meal there, on a Friday evening, and service was good, but the meal we had was nothing short of OMG ! Excellent, lovely and hot, and very well presented ! I seldom leave reviews, but this place gets a 10/10 from me for food quality and taste .... I'll be back !”
