About Katie's Kitchen
Katie's Kitchen is a cafe in West Wickham, at 10 Addington Rd, serving breakfast and lunch from a menu that runs all-day breakfast. Turkish breakfast sits on the menu alongside egg dishes such as Eggs Royale and eggs Benedict. Shawarma chicken wraps cover the lunch side. Drinks include coffee, caramel latte and milkshakes, and tea comes in a large glass. Some of the meats are halal, so it is worth checking with the team before ordering.

Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is the main draw, with Eggs Royale from the all day breakfast and eggs Benedict singled out as delicious, freshly cooked and generous in portion, and one reviewer ordering a Turkish breakfast. Lunch comes close behind, led by the shawarma chicken wraps, described as a speciality. Reviewers also praise the caramel latte, coffee and milkshakes, and several call the value good compared with other places nearby. Friendly, quick service comes up repeatedly, and the atmosphere is described as warm, welcoming and busy and buzzing. The criticisms are small but specific. One reviewer couldn't fully enjoy the black tea because of the tea bag and suggested loose-leaf teas in glass pots, found the small metal chairs uncomfortable, and wanted to choose two of an item on the five-item breakfast instead of one of each. Another found the sausage in the Turkish breakfast not fresh. One reviewer notes some of the meats are halal and advises checking before ordering.

“Our visit to Katie’s Kitchen for breakfast on Saturday was a pleasant overall. I’m giving it 4 stars rather than 5 because I think there are a few areas that could make the experience even better. It was a nice touch to have the tea served in a large glass. However, the tea bag used didn’t seem to be of the best quality, and I couldn’t fully enjoy the flavour of the black tea. I would recommend using a higher-quality brand such as Jing Tea, and perhaps offering a selection of loose-leaf teas served in glass tea pots. This would really enhance the breakfast experience. I also think the breakfast combo could be improved. If customers choose the 5-item breakfast, it would be better if they could select 2 items of each choice, rather than being limited to just one of each item. This would provide more flexibility and better value. Finally, I found the seating a little uncomfortable. The small metal chairs could be replaced with more comfortable upholstered or cushioned seating, making it a much more enjoyable place to relax over breakfast. These are simply my recommendations to the owners and management team. Overall, we enjoyed our visit, the food was good, and the staff were friendly. With a few small improvements, Katie’s Kitchen could easily become a 5-star breakfast destination.”
