Quick info
About Babs Cafe
Babs Cafe is a cafe in Wednesbury at 5 Dangerfield Ln, serving breakfast sandwiches filled with bacon and sausage and finished with brown sauce. Hash browns come with the sandwiches, along with fried bread, so a breakfast order arrives with both. A tuna mayo sandwich is also on the list for anyone after something other than bacon and sausage. The cafe is walk-in. It gets very busy at certain times, though the turnaround is quick.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise food that arrives fresh and hot with a quick turnaround, even when the cafe is very busy. The hash browns, which one diner was told are famous, and a tuna mayo sandwich with plenty of tuna are the items named most approvingly, and another reviewer calls their breakfast lovely and the cafe clean. Close behind come friendly, polite staff and good value, and a long-time takeaway customer says the quality is consistent from one order to the next and calls the shop immaculate. The main complaint comes from one detailed review that describes a bacon and sausage sandwich with tasteless meat, cheap and sweet brown sauce, and bread that was not fresh. Another reviewer wished the fried bread were a little better. On a busy visit, a parent describes staff being friendly to their four year old and cutting up his sausage.

“Just made an order and the gent on the phone is always so lovely and polite, thought let’s leave a review. Only to see a review that is completely false! We’ve been ordering from babs for YEARS. 6+ easily, and we will not go anywhere else. We don’t have takeaway often anymore but when we do babs is the place we go. No gambles, no guessing on whether the quality will be good today or not. Never any of that! The food IS high quality and the shop itself is immaculate.”
