“Visited for Sunday lunch (9th August, 1pm, table of 5) We had lunch here on Sunday and the food itself was good, and the service throughout was genuinely friendly. The one issue was that shortly after our drinks arrived, our waitress accidentally spilled them over me and a friend. To be fair, the team cleaned it up quickly and she apologised twice, which we appreciated. What surprised us was that nothing further came of it. No manager came over, and there was no gesture at all for the inconvenience — not even something small like a free starter or dessert, which in my experience is the norm in situations like this. When the bill came, it was for the full amount, and there was no mention of the incident again when we left. We didn't want to make a fuss about it at the time, and I want to be clear this isn't a complaint about compensation — it's more about what it says when a restaurant doesn't proactively make things right unless a customer pushes for it. The food and the staff's friendliness were genuinely good, but the lack of any follow-through from management on this was disappointing and left a slightly flat impression on an otherwise nice meal.”
