“Would give six stars if I could. Genuinely some of the best Turkish food I have had! Excellent value for money with hearty portions, really clean seating areas in a beautifully decorated restaurant, and top it off, brilliant service too. Would recommend anyone in or around Watford to try Aysu, you won’t be disappointed.”

“A fantastic Iranian restaurant and lounge in Watford — definitely worth a visit. I had a really enjoyable experience at Aysu. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the overall atmosphere was excellent. They also offer shisha, desserts and live music, which makes it a great place for an evening out rather than just somewhere to grab a meal. One thing I really want to highlight was the hospitality. The owner was actually sitting opposite me when my fork and spoon accidentally fell on the floor. Without me even asking, he personally got up, brought me new cutlery and made sure I was looked after. That small gesture genuinely stood out to me — it showed that he cares about his customers regardless of his position in the business. The staff were also very down-to-earth, friendly and attentive to customers’ needs. The mixed grill was tasty and cooked well, although I think the lamb and chicken portions could be a little more generous. Chips are available for an additional £1, and the mocktails were excellent — I particularly enjoyed the strawberry and lemonade. For dessert, I went for the kunafa with ice cream and the tiramisu cake, and both were a great way to finish the meal. The live Persian music was probably my favourite part of the evening. As someone who enjoys Persian music, it created a fantastic atmosphere and made the whole experience feel much more lively and authentic. Overall, great food, reasonable prices, genuinely caring staff, a welcoming owner and an excellent atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting, especially if you enjoy Persian food, music, shisha and a lively evening atmosphere.”
