  “Dont bother wasting your money. Waiting for 2 hours for our order for it to turn up wrong. Then they blamed the driver for them packing it up wrong and taking 2 hours to get it ready. Called back they said our order was on the way 30 minutes later no food and now they just keep putting the phone down. Ordered from McDonald's food here in 15 minutes”

  “The best fried chicken wings and BBQ wings. I also highly recommend the Garlic mayo loaded fries. At busy times service can be a bit slow, but staff is nice and friendly.”

  “Ordered online at 1030pm. Shop shuts at 11pm. Ordered gets confirmed. Order is being prepared. Waiting patiently. At exactly 11pm, we get a notification to say order cancelled. Why accept the order? Contact me please.”

  “To anyone ordering food from Jay's chicken in Amwell end, Ware make sure you check you're order before leaving the shop. I ordered 2 chicken fillet burgers with cheese & a portion of fries, costing £12.97. Wasn't paying attention to the serving staff, my order was ready & in a bag. When on way back to my car I noticed the bag felt light, looked in the bag, 1 portion of fries & 1 small box, opened the box & there was 2 small pieces of chicken in the box. Turned back & into the shop explained there mistake & was told once I'd left the shop it was my problem. I told the server what I'd ordered & how much I'd paid, he again told me once I've left the shop there's nothing he can do. If I wanted to reorder that would be fine. Thinking we'd resolved the issue I ordered the 2 burgers again & he tried to charge me again for the burgers that I'd already paid for & not received. I explained again slowly to him what had happened. & was again told once I'd left the shop it was my problem. I asked for a refund & was refused, i was becoming slightly more annoyed & demaned my food or a refund & was refused again. I asked to speak to the shop manager & was told it was the guy I was already talking to, I then asked for his managers email address & was refused that, I then asked for Jay's chicken complaint email & was refused yet again. So I left the shop severely out of pocket & going to hungry with the little food I was incorrectly given. Be aware & check your orders before leaving the shop. I will be looking online for a complaint email address or phone number.”

  “Don’t get the ribs! Yuk! No bone in 3 I ordered. They were pure fat and no meat covered in sauce. Could not eat them at all. Disgusting. Fries were ok but you have to go some to mess up those. I live locally so you just lost a customer.”

  “I ate the 2-pc chicken meal. Value for money. I was impressed by the crispy and not oily chicken pieces. I enjoyed the dried and crispy fries as well. Not oily at all. Wonderful meal for me! I saw a passing train near the restaurant as it was near to the train railway track. This restaurant was also near to River Lea.”

  “we ordered a small ben and jerries ice cream at 12:40, they literally just had to get it out of the fridge and give it to us, it took them a whopping 24 minutes to do that. not only that, the girl had the nerve to give us the wrong flavor. one time they called up the number of my order, 4 nuggets, i was stood in front of the counter waiting as they took 7 minutes to put my order together, meanwhile they were handing orders to other people. MANY times i would order lunch from there with my friends, even when the place was empty and there were no orders, the employees were chatting in front of us for a very long time, we had to ASK THEM to do our order.”

  “I have never had chicken this good in my life! The crispy coating was perfectly seasoned, and the meat inside was juicy and tender. The sauces were divine—each one better than the last. The service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. If you’re a chicken lover, this place is an absolute must try.”
