About Heavenly Baking Coffee Shop and Tearooms
Heavenly Baking Coffee Shop and Tearooms is a coffee shop set inside a garden centre in Walsall. Its tea room can be hired for private functions such as baby showers, giving hosts a dedicated space for a gathering. The kitchen makes cakes and sweet treats in house, including coffee and walnut cake, and serves scones with clotted cream. For something savoury, the breakfast sandwich pairs sausage, bacon and egg on thick bread. Afternoon tea is also offered. Vegan options and non-dairy milk alternatives are available for guests who avoid dairy. Dogs are welcome, so visitors can bring their own.

Customer Review Summary
Homemade cakes are the most repeated draw. Reviewers name a coffee and walnut cake described as light and airy, an Apple and Cinnamon cake, a Victoria sponge, and scones with clotted cream. Close behind are the savoury plates: a breakfast sandwich of sausage, bacon and egg on thick bread, a toasted BLT, and a ham and cheese toastie with granary bread and coleslaw. Others mention a rustic afternoon tea with plenty of food, an excellent flat white, and a good welcome for dogs. Friendly staff and a rustic, cosy feel come up often, and one reviewer describes a baby shower in the tea room where guests with allergies were all catered for. The main complaint is slow, uneven service. One reviewer says the food takes a while and the service depends on who is on shift. Another describes a Father's Day breakfast for five where three teas arrived as one small pot, the food had not been cooked after a long wait, a refund was requested, and four biscuits were offered as an apology.

“Lovely café offering a wide range of food and drinks. The staff is great and the location makes it very convenient. It's ideal for a quick bite or a cup of tea before or after visiting the garden centre. It's also great to gather and catch up with friends while enjoying a meal. They also provide a great selection of their own sweet treats, vegan options available too. The coffee is good and they offer alternative to dairy milk. They also sell an interesting selection of baked goods, that make great presents. Love.this place and I come here regularly to meet up with friends. Dog friendly, which is a plus.”

“What a disaster! Ordered Father’s Day breakfast for 5. Drinks arrived anfter half ann hour ordered 3 teas and got one small pot. After an hour we were asked if we had ordered food we said yes and she asked if it was lunch. We said no breakfast. My husband then went inside to ask about food to be told it hadn’t been cooked and they were going to do it now and it would be 10 minutes. He asked for a refund. Gave us 4 biscuits to apologise and there were 5 of us. Made Fawlty Towers look competent. We were told we should go because it is fabulous food but won’t be rushing back anytime soon.”

“This is our go-to place for breakfast, especially on a Sunday. The breakfast sandwich is my absolute favourite. Sausage, bacon and egg served on super thick bread, and it’s perfect every time. The food is ALWAYS delicious and consistently high quality, you can really tell everything is made with care. The place itself has such a cool rustic vibe, making it really cosy and relaxing, and the staff are always super friendly and welcoming, we genuinely love coming here. We occasionally treat ourselves to lunch as well, and the toasted BLT is to die for! The quality of the food is excellent and we always think it’s great value for money. Highly recommend! we always look forward to coming back!”

“Morag and I are frequent flyers here, and for good reason. It’s rare to find a place that treats dogs this well while serving humans a latte this good. The ham and cheese toastie is 'simple' done to perfection—the carved ham and granary bread are top-notch, and the coleslaw deserves its own fan club. Having visited this garden centre since I was small, it’s lovely to see such a gem of a café thriving. Great cakes, better chips, and very happy humans (and hounds).”

“Very nice restaurant we had Victoria sponge and 2 teas £12 .80 very nice. Bought some compost 3 bags for £12 + 1 bag of Manure and 1 bag of John lnnes No1 seed all for £21. That's a good deal I think. The Heavenly Baking is the same place as Walsall Garden centre.”
