“The customer service in this coffee shop in Sutton Coldfield town centre is shocking. They always just leave one poor person serving whilst the other staff members stand around chatting. Invariably it is the trainee doing all the serving. Nero’s regional management need to do some undercover visits to see it for themselves.”

“I visited the Caffè Nero in Mere Green to redeem a complimentary iced latte using an Octopus Energy coffee voucher, and I had such a wonderful experience that I wanted to recognise Lauren for her outstanding customer service. Not only was she warm, friendly, and attentive, but she also enthusiastically recommended different flavoured syrups that I could add to my iced latte. Thanks to her suggestion, I tried a Pistachio Iced Latte for the first time, and I really enjoyed it! I chose the Mere Green branch because I had previously redeemed the same Octopus coffee vouchers several times at the Gracechurch Centre Caffè Nero, where I unfortunately experienced consistently poor customer service. I don’t know whether it was due to prejudice or some other reason, but those experiences made me feel uncomfortable enough to avoid going back. I’m so glad I decided to visit the Mere Green branch instead. Not only did I receive the courteous service every customer deserves, but the service I received from Lauren went far beyond my expectations. She truly made me feel welcome and valued. I’ll definitely be returning to the Mere Green Caffè Nero for my coffee in the future. Thank you again, Lauren, for your outstanding service. You have completely changed my impression of Caffè Nero.”
