Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise the cooked food, with jacket potatoes called delicious by one takeaway customer and breakfast items like fresh mushrooms and black pudding described as spot on. Others mention a brunch with chips, a late lunch, and an americano with milk, and several describe the staff as great, nice, or attentive. A few call the cafe clean and lovely, and one notes Halloween decor and a regular of over ten years. Prices are described as reasonable or not too bad by some, though one reviewer calls a £5.60 sandwich with one rasher of bacon and half an egg a rip off, and says the extra sausage they paid for was only half a sausage and the food arrived cold. Another reviewer who rated it 4 notes a spilt coffee when it was put down, and trouble with youths outside outside school hours. One reviewer notes the owner will help if asked, and that there is space for pushchairs and wheelchairs but no ramp.

“don’t know how this place is still open. you get one sausage sliced three ways thin to make a sausage sandwich. paid for extra sausage for £1.20 and i got an extra half a sausage?? the whole place is a rip off. used to order regular here but it’s gone so bad now! owners are using cheap rubbish quality food and putting hardly anything on the sandwich. one rasher of bacon and half an egg?? £5.60?? what a rip off. wouldn’t ever recommend and won’t ever use again. food was cold too”

“Popped into here for some takeaway food,I had planned on going to the chip shop, but that was closed,as its was about 2:45pm,I then noticed this cafe was open,to which I've never been to before,so we went in asked if they did takeaway? Yes,we do,the smiling, polite lady replied,I then asked if they were still cooking?(as the cafe was empty, and the man/chef in the kitchen was cleaning,) yes,the lady replied, what would you like? So I ordered 2 jacket potato's, 1 with cheese, bean, and salad, and 1 with just butter, and a well done bacon roll, all to takeaway. Total cost £15.30 which i though was really reasonable. They came in good strong packaging, that kept our food hot while we drove home, and OH MY GOSH!! Their jacket potato's are so DELICIOUS 😋”
