About New Indian Paradise Cuisine
New Indian Paradise Cuisine is an Indian takeaway at 33 Westfield Rd in Wakefield, trading since 1995 and cooking home-style food. The menu centres on curries, with chicken madras among them, and naan bread to go alongside. Curry orders come with a pickle tray holding mango chutney and yoghurt and mint dips. The grill side covers seekh kebabs, and kebab meat is served with chips. The takeaway is walk-in, so orders can be placed in person. The business also runs its own website for ordering, with collection from the shop.

Customer Review Summary
Curries draw the most mentions, and reviewers are split. Fans call them hot, fresh and tasty, with plenty of meat in a chicken madras, while two diners found the chicken korma waxy and tasteless. Kebabs divide opinion too: one reviewer praises the seekh kebabs and tandoori red doner meat, while another found the kebab inedibly salty. Naan is the most repeated complaint, described as rock hard, burnt or snapping in half, alongside runny dips. Several report wrong or missing items, including a curry left out and a late replacement. One reviewer describes a salad that looked dyed green and had gone off, with a promised callback never arriving. Those happy with their orders call the staff friendly and the chips hot and crispy, and one reviewer was handed freshly cooked food at no charge after the shop had closed.

“As always the best takeaway in Horbury, chips genuinely delicious, hot and crispy. Amazing burger exactly how I asked the guys to do it, really enjoyed it and was all made fresh to order! Had curries here before and they were also hot and really tasty. Smashed it guys!!!”

“If I could leave less than 1 star I would. The food was absolutely vile, the naan breads actually snapped in half when we took them out of the packaging, the korma had this weird nothing waxy taste and the pickle tray sauces were like watered down dish water. We actually ended up binning the whole thing and going to get a ‘curry in a bag’ for £7 from Asda, which was substantially better than the £30 we’d spent there. Honestly avoid at all costs, there are way better Indian takeaways in the local area.”

“Always spot on at this place. Friendly staff. Curry’s are alway nice and fresh.”

“The seek kebabs from here are so tasty, I usually scoff them while I’m still putting the other food items on a plate. The tandoori red doner meat kebab has a really nice flavour to it. Plenty of meat in the curries (I have only ever had a chicken madras). This may not be a negative to some but I think the chicken tikka portions are a bit much, the quality is great but I personally would prefer a smaller portion of larger chunks. Staff are always really friendly. I order on their own website for collection as I only live up the road, which gives a discount after spending a certain amount. The food is always fresh and ready to collect really quickly.”
