  “Came for late Sunday lunch today and extremely disappointed .- we arrived and no one at bar just staff sitting eating lunch . Eventually someone came to serve and went to two people who walked in after us . Shown to table and ordered two adult beef , one child’s beef and a child macaroni cheese , the food arrived with the children’s beef exactly the same size as the adults but with a £6 price difference . I asked the waiter to check and he said he would but never came back . I asked two members of staff for the WiFi code - neither knew it but said would come back and never did , The veg that came with the roast were mediocre to say the least with large clumps of broccoli , carrots chopped in different ways and small roast potatoes . A limp Yirkshire pudding and an extra 3.75 for a mediocre cauliflower cheese . The bill was £83.50 and I was left feeling that I would have expected a lot better quality for the price , I had been once before at the beginning of the new owners takeover and found it better then than now . Young staff need to be trained better and the food was average to ssh the least”

  “We stopped by for a quick drink but ended up having some food. The place looked amazing with the lights and how it has been decorated. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was lovely and the pudding was delicious. I had the cheese cake, my son had the Sunday and he demolished the lot. For us the trip back home was just under 1:30 hours long but we have said we will be driving back for another visit next time we can.”

  “Came for the fish & chips and wow they were amazing!!! Followed by a gorgeous biscoff cheese cake then a beer by the fire! Lovely family run pub. 100% recommend! We will be back x”

  “Visited the pub this weekend for the grand opening with new management. All I can say is I can’t fault a thing! All the staff were so polite and attentive, the food was amazing and great value for money. The new owners Tanya and Oliver are so lovely too, up for a chat and getting to know the locals. We will be back again!!”

  “My wife & I have just had Sunday lunch at the Carlton Inn. The staff were friendly and the young girl that served us was very polite. The food was a blend of rustic home cooking which was very tasty 😋 value for money, we will be coming back. Thanks for a great Sunday Roast!”
