About The Beehive
The Beehive is a small pub at 55 Prospect Hill in Swindon, with an art gallery for local artists and a wide variety of live music that includes bands. The bar serves real ales and cask ales, among them the house bitter Two Bees at 3.9% and Pheasant Plucker at 4.5%. Pie and mash is served at lunchtime, and bar games are on hand. Interesting items and character details fill the rooms, and a shelf holds beer guides for anyone curious about the ales. Dogs are welcome. Parking on the street is free after 6pm.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the real ales, with several praising the range of cask ales and one naming the Olde Trip as really nice. Another reviewer says they always order draught and dark beers and were not disappointed. Live music comes close behind, described as great, with one reviewer recalling the band and another noting an open mic spoken word afternoon on the first Sunday of the month. Reviewers also mention bar games, a shelf of beer guides the pub has featured in, and interesting items around the pub. Many call the staff and regulars friendly, and a few say it feels like a real pub rather than a scripted chain. The one recurring practical note is that it is tucked away in the backstreets and takes some searching out, though the reviewer who said so still called it well worth it. One reviewer adds that street parking is free after 6pm. Visitors from the USA and elsewhere say they plan to return, and one still talks regularly about an evening there almost two years on.

“A nice real ale pub. Only been here once before and popped in today. Nice pub. Lovely real ale, I had the Olde Trip and it was really nice. The ale selection is pretty good, and its a nice place to stop for a pint. I can see why people talk of it so highly.”

“If this ain't the best boozer in Swindon I'll be blown away by any that can top it! It was a cold and quiet Thursday night when I stumbled upon this gem of a pub, great beer, quirky surroundings, banging tunes and a warm welcome. Chances are I'll never be back in this one horse town, but if life brings me this way again my 1st port of call will be The Beehive 🍻”

“Great range of cask ales. Has a shelf full of good beer guides they've been in. It's tucked away in some backstreets so you'll need to search it out, but it's well worth it.”

“My favourite pub in Swindon. It's pretty small but it's a REAL pub. None of this scripted nonsense you find in chained pubs. Great selection of ales, perfect for grabbing a swift a pint and pie and mash of a lunchtime. Great live music. Friendly staff, friendly clientele.”

“Lovely hidden gem of a pub in Swindon. Lots of character and friendly staff there. Good selection of beers and ales. On street parking is free after 6pm which is handy.”
