Customer Review Summary
Korean fried chicken wings are the dish most reviewers return to, described as crunchy and juicy, in sweet and spicy or garlic and soy versions. Beef bulgogi and seafood pancakes come up close behind, along with spicy fried squid with vegetables, a beef bulgogi hotpot, and a galbi tang that arrived bubbling with tender short rib. Mains come with rice and a tray of pickles or banchan, and several praise the value, the big servings, and food served quick and hot. Reviewers call the staff friendly and welcoming, and one found them caring about dietary restrictions. Another mentions the free tea. The caveats are modest but specific. One reviewer found some portions small and the choice of dishes limited, another has had stronger flavours elsewhere, and a third says the room lacked atmosphere and suggests background music. One calls the cooking simple, home-style fare. A diner who tried the chilled buckwheat noodles in beef broth was handed a pair of scissors to manage the long strands.

“Amazing service and food. The staff were very welcoming and caring with my dietary restrictions. I took some chilled noodles Ona delicious broth with beef stock, kimchi and pear juices. The buckwheat noodles were a bit chewing but (good) interesting.they kindly gave me a paire of scissors to help me eating those long noodles. I never ate anything like that before and it was very refreshing. A perfect exotic dish for a hot day.”

“A review that's long overdue! Bapbap is our go-to restaurant in Sutton whenever we're craving a home-cooked-style meal. The food is always fresh, delicious, and comforting, and the service is consistently friendly. We love the free tea too! Highly recommended!”

“The best restaurant in Sutton. I come here at least once a month, and I don't know why I haven't reviewed it sooner! It's very friendly and welcoming and the food is unbelievably good value, with big serving sizes. All the mains come with rice, and a tray of pickles. I always get the Ojinjeo Bokkeum (spicy fried squid with vegetables) and the chicken wings, but often get the beef bulgogi hotpot and kimchee/seafood pancakes if I'm coming with friends. The food is fresh, seasoned perfectly and absolutely delicious, and all for about the same price as a nandos. If you get a main with a side dish, it'll be around £20! I cannot recommend BapBap enough. 10/10 🥇”

“This restaurant offers very casual, home-style Korean cuisine at a great price. It serves kimchi and bean sprouts as appetizers. If you enjoy simple, home-style flavors, this is a good choice.”

“Ok I confess that Bab Bab wasn’t my first choice. I had come to eat at Noodle House across the road but they were on a break Chinese New Year However, that gave me the chance to try somewhere new and it’s always exciting to find a new favourite Bab Bab came to my rescue and turned out to be a little gem. A plate of 3 banchan arrived before my food. The galbi tang (shortrib soup) was bubbling furiously on arriving and the meat was super tender. Korean fried chicken wings were crunchy, juicy with the right level of sweet and slight tingle Can highly recommend”
