  “The waiter did not seems to understand us and we struggled to understand him. An attempt to swap an item did not work . We were not given a finger bowl or wet wipe for mixed starter. Quality of food was good. No attempt to tidy the cloth between courses.”

  “Once again a lovely experience at Mr Channs. Booking table was easy and loads of reminders. Staff were very polite and helpful. Food was lovely and if we required extras it wasn't a problem. Didnt wait long for food.. well done to all at Mr Channs”

  “Takeaway - CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFOE YOU LEAVE! Annoyingly 3 times in the past year, I stupidly didn’t check and got all the way home 20 minutes away and an item was missing. They apologised but didn’t offer a refund or compensate petrol …”

  “Cannot fault. Heard so many good things about this place we had to try it. Food was beautiful and service was friendly and relaxed. We had set menu for two and there was loads! Great value for money. The wife and I can’t wait to go again to try different dishes.”

  “Very disappointing, not sure what is going on with the take away part of this restaurant. Ordered special mixed curry, which is supposed to be chicken, duck and beef. Instead have chicken curry with peas and 2 pathetic looking things called prawns, no sign of duck or beef as advertised. (Trades description) comes to mind. (this dish is more expensive than a normal chicken curry) Waited for the take away so why are they always cold. (Live 5 minutes away). Sat down to eat it but to be fair put off, would think twice about using this establishment again.”

  “First time trying Mr Chans after wanting to try here for years when staying at riverside. The restaurant itself is very well run, clean and the staff are polite and welcoming. The food came within about 20 minutes but was super fresh and tasty especially the won ton soup with homemade dumplings and my mum’s sweet and sour chicken. Will definitely be returning when we come back to riverside next year.”
