About Mitre Oak
Mitre Oak is a pub in Stourport On Severn, on Crossway Green, in a building styled after a traditional coaching inn. It has been recently refurbished and now runs under new management with a changed menu. The kitchen cooks pub classics, sandwiches and salads, and the drinks list covers a wide selection of craft beers and wines. Meal deals run through the week. The big beer garden includes a play area for children. Dogs are welcome, and each one is brought a bowl of cool water without having to ask. Groups can book ahead and place pre-orders before the visit.

Customer Review Summary
Friendly, helpful staff are what most reviewers single out, especially at family birthday gatherings. One party of 17 was served quickly and cleared its plates, and another was lent a knife and plates for a cake they brought themselves. The food is described as good pub grub at a good price, with a good menu selection, and reviewers also like the garden and its child play area. The complaints centre on the kitchen. One table was given the wrong meal on a Sunday afternoon, and the replacement came out a little undercooked. Another diner waited ages for food that was only okish on a quiet day, and a third says the dishes were undercooked and left unfinished. Others find the decor and seating tired, and the online menu does not match the in-house one. Several mention how dog friendly the pub is, and one says each dog was brought a bowl of cool water on a hot day without being asked.

“Pub food Changes hands frequently but this time menus have changed and new management seem to have improved the place and more people using it. Not long had a refurb. Also seem to have deals on throughout the week. Hope it stays open and does well.”

“Called in Sunday late afternoon. Place was quiet. Staff very welcoming and attentive. Unfortunately one of the meals came out and it wasn't what was ordered. We sent both back as wanted to eat together. One meal was brought back out saying it wouldn't keep under hot lamps, so had to eat that alone. 2nd meal came out and it appeared to have been rushed so was a little under cooked. The led to an upset stomach later that evening.”

“A nice village setting, a big beer garden with a play area, and a friendly atmosphere make The Mitre Oak in Hartlebury a lovely place to eat, drink, and relax. We’re an eye-catching building with the look and feel of a traditional coaching inn. You’ll be impressed by our grand design. Not to mention our great value meals and wide selection of craft beers and wines! Dine and dash or stay a while and enjoy a three-course meal. We do it all, every day of the week: pub classics, sandwiches and salads. A proper roast dinner is served up every Sunday, and you’ll find brilliant meal deals on weeknights as well.
