About Lockside Steakhouse
On Enville St in Stourbridge, Lockside Steakhouse is a restaurant set in a brick-walled dining area with rustic decor. The menu runs across several steaks, including fillet steak, which is served with a mushroom, tomato and peppercorn sauce. The Chateaubriand share platter gives a table a larger cut to split. Bottomless brunch runs as its own format, and the drinks list includes cocktails. A separate lunchtime menu is offered as a two-course deal and includes chicken forestiere for those who want something other than steak. For dessert, the kitchen serves a chocolate bomb with caramel.

Customer Review Summary
Steak draws the most praise at Lockside, with reviewers singling out fillet steaks, a chateaubriand share platter described as cooked to perfection, and a steak served with a mushroom, tomato and peppercorn sauce. Close behind is the lunchtime deal, where one diner enjoyed the chicken forestiere as tasty and fresh and another calls the lunch offer great. The chocolate bomb dessert and the cocktails, noted for attention to detail, also earn mentions. Staff are repeatedly described as polite, friendly and helpful, and the rustic decor and unique interior get approval. Two caveats recur. One reviewer waited roughly 30 minutes for starters, over an hour for mains and about 40 minutes for desserts, with the bomb dessert sitting in the window until its caramel went cold. Another found drinks overpriced, noting 3 Pepsis, 2 pints and half an ale came to close to £35, and would return for the food rather than the drinks. Several mention birthday meals, and a few say they have already returned.

“Food was simply amazing and drinks are great, especially the attention to detail on the cocktails. Thank you to Thea on giving us a lovely evening, even joined us for our xmas party pic. Yes xmas party in July, bit late I know but overall had a fantastic night.”

“The food is excellent, the lockside has a unique interior. It's great, but be prepared to pay for what you have, it's certainly an odd occasion place. I'll be honest the food lunch deal is great. The only reason it isn't 5* for me, is the price of the drinks. 3 pepsi, 2 pints and half an ale was close to £35. The drinks for me are way over priced, especially for soft drinks. I would go again, but not really for drinks. For the food.”

“1st and really enjoyed it. The food was lovely good quality and beautifully presented. There was an excellent choice of menu. There were 6 of us and we all had different mains none of us were disappointed. The service was very good , staff were pleasant and helpful. The decor was great very rustic but done very well. All in all a good experience which we will definitely be repeating.”

“Food was amazing, but the waiting times are very long. 30 minutes for the starters, over 1 hour for mains and roughly 40 minutes for deserts (which sat in the window for 15 minutes, the bomb desert gimic didn't work as the caramel was cold). Overall I think I would come again and hope for faster service.”
