“Came here for Valentine's day and would absolutely NOT recommend it. We were sat out the back of the restaurant in some kind of function room with lots of other tables cramped in. The atmosphere was grim and there was a sense of disappointment in the air. The tables are chairs looked like they'd been brought in from the outside seating area, cold, hard steel tables and chairs. Food balanced on the edge as the tables were too small. Everyone moved around in discomfort and complained that the chairs hurt. It was that cold in the function room that everyone was sat in their coats. The only heat coming from two small fan heaters perched on the function room bar, couldn't even feel the heat from them. An older couple sat next to us and it was such a shame, the table leaked water all over the mans leg. Another indication the tables were from outside. The waitresses struggled to squeeze passed the tables to reach ones at the back and often took food to the wrong tables. No cutlery was provided other than what came with the dishes to scoop the food up. The food was nice, but even that was served on cold plates. The staff were unhappy with the how diners were being treated and told us it was like this every year and that the owners didn’t care. The waitresses couldn't apologise enough for the setting but it wasn't their fault, it was a case of greedy owners trying to get as much as they could out of Valentine's day. The only good time anyone had in that room was the laughs we all shared about how bad the whole experience was. We complained upon leaving and wasn't offered anything. Only after I said I wanted a discount I was told they could do 10%. We regretted staying and wish we'd have walked out as soon as we got there. We'd have had a better experience picking it up and eating in the car!”

“Would have been quicker to order a takeaway, drive to the restaurant and eat it. Service? Incredibly slow. Over 3 hours to get to main course, no draught beers, only one person able to serve drinks. Okay we are a big group tonight but this has ruined the whole experience. Shocking bad so don’t bother if you want a sit down meal.”
