Quick info
About Tudor Tandoori
Tudor Tandoori is a South Asian restaurant in Stonehouse, at 30 High St, that works as an Indian takeaway and gives its cooking a modern twist. The doner naan wrap, also made as a mixed doner, comes in a large portion and anchors the takeaway menu. Starters include onion bhajis and lamb samosas, so a smaller order can start there. When the kitchen is busy, a wait for food is usual. Orders are placed by phone, and customers collect them from the counter.

Customer Review Summary
Praise centers on the doner naan, which one reviewer called a huge portion that stretched across two meals and tasted better than the pitta versions from a kebab van. Close behind are the king burger, the diner fries and the sizzler naan, with reviewers pointing to flavour, plentiful portions and value for money. One also said the chicken was cooked through, unlike at competitors. Several describe the front of house as friendly and polite. Criticism splits between food and service. One diner found the onion bhajis undercooked and soggy inside, suspected the samosas were reheated, and got a doner naan wrap that was soggy and lacked the salad shown in the wall photos. Another was refused a swap of cheese for mayo, then told in a rude tone that the kitchen was busy after a wait well past the quote. One reviewer found no flavour at all, and another regretted there is no delivery. Even so, one party was given extra onion bhajis, and another was offered the chance to collect an order and pay on another day after a delivery app cancelled it.

“Sorry to say this, and i hate to leave bad comments. But there was just no flavour to my food. You can probably do better looking at the other reviews. Just a bad day I suppose.”

“Horrendous Service. Wouldn't not swap cheese for mayo, was told 40 min wait and when queried after 60 minutes I was told 'we are busy' in a rude tone and talked past to another customer without any sort of apology. Will not return.”
