About The Wilbraham Arms, Alsager
The Wilbraham Arms, Alsager is a pub on Sandbach Rd N in Stoke On Trent, set on the site of a former Cheshire farm house and named after a prominent local family. Its beer garden has a small obstacle course for children, and dogs are welcome. Inside, the refurbished pub has a newer restaurant area serving pub food, with roast dinners on the menu and cocktails on the drinks list, including a Bumbu cocktail. The team hosts celebrations such as birthdays and Celebration of Life gatherings, and large group bookings come with a request for a deposit and a pre-order. Live singer performances bring people to the dance floor, and the outdoor terrace is used for events.

Customer Review Summary
Criticism centres on service and the kitchen. One local said the burgers' triple cooked chips felt more cremated than cooked, then described being told the kitchen was closing at 9.45pm and being asked repeatedly at the bar whether drinks were finished. Another said a barmaid dismissed a request about avoiding salt in the food, and called the food basic. Even so, one family said the kitchen took their order by phone and had meals ready when they arrived late.

“Food was nice, staff were friendly and helpful. We had travelled from Leicester as our daughter was the live singer, we had booked a table early in order to eat before she sang but got caught in traffic. We phoned ahead and the kitchen kindly took our order and had our meals ready when we arrived. The reception our daughter received for her performance was great with people up and dancing. Hopefully we will be back. (N.b. I do not own the rights to the music)”

“Celebrated my daughters birthday here with family. The Sunday menu was great with plenty of options, the roasts in particular were fantastic. Everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were absolutely brilliant, attentive, friendly and helpful at every stage. I would not hesitate to book again for a celebration and I'm sure we'll be back for a Sunday dinner!”

“The barmaid didn,t listen to a health question and told me no she didnt think so about the food...but they did...I told her I cant have salt. Then the 2nd barmaid who I told wasn,t too good after either.. it looks nice the refurb but the standard of service is a bit lapsy daisy...she even carried on cleaning the glass on the fridge seeing me stand at the bar she looked and carried on then the other barmaid told her...not a standard you,d expect. So won,t go again and been in Alsager 58 years. Food was so basic too.”

“Had a great meal here for Father’s Day, very good roast dinner and the main greeter and manager was very welcoming! Even my little frenchie was made a fuss of! Thanks all for a lovely day - dad passed 9 years ago but we still like to go out and celebrate this special day”

“Visited recently and had a lovely experience. The food was delicious, freshly prepared and arrived hot. The service was friendly, attentive and nothing seemed too much trouble. A special mention to the lady with the short dark hair and thick glasses who looked after us. She was welcoming, professional and made sure everything was spot on throughout our visit. It’s clear the team work hard to provide great food and service, and it certainly showed. We will definitely be returning.”
