About Hope Coffee
Hope Coffee is an independent coffee shop in Stanford Le Hope, run by a family from 2 Stanhope House. The menu covers coffees, teas and milkshakes, with iced versions available, and the Dubai Dream Matcha sits alongside them as a matcha drink. Cake slices such as Biscoff cake go with the drinks. Dogs are welcome inside, so owners can bring them along while they have a coffee. Orders are placed at the counter, where the staff serve from behind it. The room has a window seat, which gives a spot to sit and watch the street.

Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers return for the iced coffee, with "the performer" singled out as a favourite, and several call it the best coffee they have had. Close behind are the milkshakes and tea selection, along with a Dubai Dream Matcha, a Biscoff cake slice, and the blueberry muffin that one reviewer pairs with the sugar daddy drink. Staff are repeatedly described as lovely and friendly, and the dogs that visit daily appeal to one reviewer. Cake draws mixed comments: one finds it nice but not as good as the coffee, and another says sizes shrank as prices rose. The recurring complaint is waiting. Two reviewers left without being served: one waited as first in the queue while staff chatted and filled syrup bottles, the other saw a man the staff knew served immediately while waiting with a baby. One reviewer who was served at once on a Friday morning instead describes the owner handing the last people in the queue free extras.

“I came in with my baby and was waiting a while. There was only one lady in front of me being served at the time. A man they knew came in a several minutes after me for a coffee and a bag of beans and was served immediately. I found it rude considering I was there before him and still waiting but I decided to give the staff some grace and wait. I still wasn’t served so decided to leave with my baby. It’s a shame as I have tried their iced coffee in the past and it was lovely. I don’t mind waiting but serving someone who came in after me and still not serving me after is rude.”

“First time trying Hope coffee today. Honestly it’s not just a trend they really do, do the best coffee. Highly recommend “the performer - iced coffee.” The customer service is great in there. I was served by Paige today and she was so accommodating. Overall a great experience”

“Hope coffee is standard. Nothing special however, has a huge social media stamp and therefore, is deemed popular! The coffee and other drinks are average but the wait time and the space is ridiculous. I waited 15 minutes as the first person in the cue whilst 6 staff stood chatting and singing whilst filling up syrup bottles and sticking stickers on cups to ensure they are living up to their branding. More time should be spent on customers and providing a good service than a false pretence of a great coffee shop. I had to ask the staff if they were serving and they looked at me like I was insane. I left. I frequently visited Hope coffee as convenience and between myself and my staff spend at least £100 per week but we will be boycotting now.”

“My favourite coffee shop in the world. The staff are so friendly and attentive and the drinks are the absolute best. We love this place and would recommend to absolutely anyone🤩 (get the sugar daddy and the blueberry muffin you won’t regret it)”

“Lovely coffee shop, highly recommended for selection of shakes, coffees and teas (iced too). Used to love a slice of cake but as prices went up, sizes came down. If you fancy a break from your costa, you'll never look back, friendly staff and amazing drinks”
