Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the seating with a view, with window seats looking over the high street and one reviewer pointing out a property featured in a Dickens novel. Open windows leave it airy, a lower floor is described as a place to cool off, and one notes seats are always available. Close behind is the coffee, called reliably good, with an americano singled out, and a few describe a relaxing atmosphere and great staff. Cost draws the most complaints. One reviewer calls a small hot chocolate extremely expensive, another finds the caramel frappe too icy, and another objects to an extra charge for oat milk. Others fault a signage display for spoiling the high street vista, an uncleared lower ground floor with no staff in sight, a broken handle on the men's toilet door, and one server described as rude. One reviewer says a dog was turned away only after the group had queued, and another says a latte rose in price three times in six months.

“I normally go here with friends to chill out and have a nice discussion, there's always seats available no matter how busy it is in there, the food is consistently good, the drinks are consistently high quality, and very tasty. In a place like Costa you can go on and on for hours while enjoying great food, drinks and a warm atmosphere.”

“Confusing dog policy! Deliberately chose Costa as we use them extensively around the country as they are super dog friendly. Went in here, sat down with dog. My friend went to order and they allowed her to queue before reaching the front to tell us that dogs weren’t allowed. I have never known a Costa not to be dog friendly. Stores really need aligning as it is embarrassing to be turned away once we are inside. Found a lovely cafe over the road however who welcomed us for a cheaper price! Not impressed with Costa Dorchester at all.”
