  “This place was an excellent choice for my night out after results day. I was excited to order the starter with a selection of pita bread and sauces. My main dish consistent of chicken and lamb shish, with a side of rice and a salad. They offer nice portions of food for the price, in my personal opinion, and I might consider to come back here again another time seeing as they offer a nice variety of exotic food.”

  “Wow … just Wow !! Excellent meal . Great service. Friendly warm welcome and a delightful setting outside . A meal for 2 celebrating my husband’s birthday. It didn’t disappoint !! Portions sizes were large . The taste was amazing!!! Very attentive staff . I would highly recommend this restaurant . We will return soon . Thank you so much xx”

  “We visited for dinner, the food was beautiful, everything we ate was full of flavour and cooked perfectly. What unfortunately let the evening down slightly was the service. It was quite clear more training was needed in attending to the customers. We had the obligatory check back a few minutes after the food was served. However we never had anyone ask if more drinks were needed unless we called someone over as all the staff were just hanging around the bar chatting. In fact one of our party had to go over to the bar to ask for a drink. They definitely missed out as many more drinks would have been ordered. 5 of our party orderd the ottoman feast which at the end of the meal included Turkish coffee or tea, this however never came. We sat for a while after the desserts had been cleared with no drinks and then we had a bill just chucked down on the table. If it was just the food I would leave a glowing 5 star review however the service let the restaurant down badly. I would think twice before returning.”

  “Popped in Saturday for a late lunch, staff were very welcoming although we didn’t have a reservation. Sat in the outside covered patio, it was a bit too warm as was sunny. We ordered sharing Meze for two, mixed starters and meat platter for £39.50 each plus drinks. It was enjoyable although the meats were quite dry and my husband can’t eat peppers but that’s not their fault, I’m sure they would have replaced some if we had mentioned it beforehand. Probably a little over priced for what we ate, I’ll just say it was fine we had a nice time nothing special..”

  “We popped in on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch, on a recommendation. We were sat in the outside conservatory room which was bright and airy, which was mid Christmas decoration application. We were served promptly and our drinks came quickly, the starters were brought out together with the mains which we asked for. As it was mid afternoon there was only one other table in there, and this made a subdued atmosphere to the room. We had a good mix of the starters and mains, Chicken Shish and a homemade hummus for starter, Lamb meatballs and minced Lamb skewers (Iskender) Lamb kebabs and grilled halloumi with the big Mangal mixed platter, all came with a very nice side salad with rice and a tomato based bulgar wheat accompanyment. The lamb chop was nicely grilled, not overdone but with a lovey bit of crispy fat, the grilled chicken on all of the dishes was so tender and moist, everyone commented on how good it was on their dishes. The seasoned minced lamb in the Kofta's and meatballs were soft and flavourful and all of the dishes came with a homemade chilli sauce and yoghurt dip which complimented the grilled meats perfectly. On the whole, we all had some very good plates of well grilled meats.”

  “A huge group of us went out to celebrate not seeing each other for several years. The team at the Mad Turk was great from booking such a large party and changes to numbers. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful throught the evening. Everyone really loved the food. Lived up to its reputation.”

  “We visited to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were shown through to the garden room where there were other diners so the atmosphere and ambience was great. The table was nicely dressed with fresh flowers, the food arrived promptly which was delicious, the serving staff were lovely, and our 2 alcoholic beverages were deducted from the bill as a complimentary gesture, which was a really nice touch. We'll definitely come back with friends, the evening was really enjoyable.”

  “Not entirely obvious that this was the place we were looking for. We were met by super friendly staff and led through to the terrace/courtyard at the back. Complete contrast to the inside dining room. We had the vegetarian meze for two which was all delicious. We added whipped feta, salad and chips. Great selection for vegetarians and gives you a taste of what's on the menu. Came quite quickly bur we were there fairly early. Starting to fill up when we left just after 7.30pm.”
