Quick info
About Abbraccio
Abbraccio is an Italian restaurant on Stamford Street in Stalybridge, where Thursday nights bring live entertainment in the form of a singer and classical guitar. The kitchen runs an Italian menu built around classic pasta and grill plates, including chicken wrapped in ham and lamb shank served in a seasoned sauce, and a daily specials board that adds smoked haddock risotto alongside the kitchen's other risottos. Mussels appear as a broad portion, served with crusty bread and a soup for dipping. A small outdoor area offers a spot to sit with a drink after the meal, and the restaurant runs on a reservations-only basis.

“Back again in 2026. Roberto the host and waiter does an exceptional job - be sure and ask for him. Food exquisite!!! 10/10 Thursday night - Stefano entertains with songs and classical guitar (he wrote and composed with Bocelli, Van Morrison and others) fantastic! We are lucky to have this quality food and venue in our little village. Nice decor and atmosphere. Staff very attentive. Solid menu with daily specials. Our favorites - The mussels- big portion. Great soup for dipping with the crusty bread provided. The smoked haddock risotto- creamy and delicious (special of the day). Lamb shank - perfectly prepared, sauce seasoned exquisitely. Seafood risotto - definitely a repeat item. Chicken wrapped in ham - another large portion. Very nicely prepared. Probably best local dining experience.”

“Went here for the first time on Friday on our friends suggestion and its now firmly our new favourite Italian. Food was unbelievable (get the pork chop!) And service and atmosphere was fantastic. There is also a really nice little outside area to sit in the sun and have a drink after the meal which I could have happily spent all night in. We cant wait to go back!”

“The most amazing Italian restaurant we have ever been to, the food is absolutely delicious, we were a party of 4 two had steak and two risotto, we were concerned about not being able to order dessert be cause the main was so filling but needless to say we managed and were delighted. We drove from Leyland and met our two family members excellent food, service and price.”
