Customer Review Summary

Breakfast is what reviewers return for most, with the full English and American pancakes named repeatedly. One diner praises a full English with black pudding and sausages they rank among the best they have had, while others describe fluffy halloumi and bacon maple pancakes, Eggs Royale cooked perfectly, and the picante bubble and squeak as a favourite. Big portions and fair prices come up often, with one reviewer unable to finish a plate and another partner leaving American pancakes unfinished. Staff are called friendly, polite and chatty, food is described as arriving fast even when busy, and several mention a clean, cosy room. Hot chocolate, coffee and a blueberry matcha get brief praise, along with homemade cakes. The one negative review describes slow service, fried eggs arriving instead of the poached ones requested on American pancakes, stodgy pancakes and overly crispy bacon, and a server who could not be flagged down until the reviewer went to the counter to pay, where only an apology was offered.

“After hearing lots of people rave about this place I felt a visit was needed. Popped in with a mate for breakfast, first impressions excellent clean /tidy and well presented. We both went for the full English breakfast with black pudding as an extra. Very prompt service and breakfast was honestly one of the best I've ever had(and believe me I've had quite a few). The owners obviously use the best ingredients. I always judge by the quality of the sausages and these were top notch as was everything else on the plate, will certainly be back, Thank you and keep it up. Neil”

“Came here for Saturday breakfast. Staff were so lovely and the food was great. Very reasonably priced as well! Big portions - my partner couldn’t finish his American pancakes and that doesn’t happen very often”

“First time trying this cafe, I got in with my family and I decided to get A Hot chocolate for drink and it was perfectly milky and creamy. For my breakfast, I decided to have the Halloumi and Bacon Maple Pancakes! The Pancakes were fluffy and the bacon was crispy, the maple syrup gave it that mix of sweet and salty! The staff were kind and generous! 5 Stars”
