Customer Review Summary

Diners most often praise the PERi-PERi chicken, described as juicy and full of signature spice, with the peri-peri sweet heat half chicken and mac and cheese singled out by one first-timer. Close behind are the halloumi starter, crispy fries and unlimited soft drink refills. Several reviewers call the staff friendly and quick even when the restaurant is busy, and a few say the food arrived hot and fresh. Service is the other recurring draw, with a nurses' celebration and a birthday both mentioned. The complaints are about consistency. One reviewer reports chicken that was raw in the middle, with replacement chicken only just cooked and no refund offered. Another describes burnt, overcooked chicken thighs left uneaten, and a third says meals arrived lukewarm, with a Fino Pitta layered in blocks and Rostinas like cold roast potatoes. One calls the spicy rice bland. Even so, the free brownie and ice cream handed over after the burnt thighs was the one part that reviewer called edible.

“I usually love a Nando’s, but this recent visit was a massive letdown. It felt like our food had been forgotten about before it even left the kitchen. The Temp: Every single meal arrived lukewarm at best. It was painfully obvious they had been sitting under a heat lamp for way too long, drying out rather than staying fresh. Fino Pitta: This was incredibly poorly put together. Instead of a well-distributed mix of ingredients, it was layered in blocks. One bite was just a mouthful of lettuce, the next was pure onion, and so on. There was absolutely no balance of flavor. The Rostinas: These were a huge disappointment—essentially just cold roast potatoes with barely any of the signature seasoning or flavor you'd expect. When you pay for a fresh, fiery meal, getting cold, poorly assembled food is incredibly frustrating. Definitely not up to the usual Nando's standard.”

“This was hands down the most utterly useless dining experienc. As a Nando’s regular, I am well aware that the food is usually spot on, but this particular branch somehow managed to completely break that streak. Honestly, burning and overcooking chicken thighs actually requires a unique talent. It takes a truly special skill set to ruin what is essentially foolproof fast food. We genuinely hate wasting food, but we were left with absolutely no choice but to abandon the charred remains of this meal. To mitigate the disaster, the staff did hand over a free brownie and ice cream at the end. I can happily confirm the dessert was actually the only thing edible.”

“Usually a good Nando’s, very busy, nice staff, however this time we were served chicken which was RAW in the middle! We were offered replacement chicken, which wasn’t much better, it was only just cooked. We were not offered a refund. Tables are really close together too, so if you want people hearing your conversation, go here. Really disappointed and disgusted.”
