Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the Lebanese Dahl served over crumpets with poached egg, mint cucumber mayo and chilli jam, with one adding slow cooked pulled mutton and another choosing pulled lamb on the homemade crumpets, described as light. Close behind are the breakfasts, where the halloumi, avocado and eggs are called impeccable and a table of five large breakfasts is called exceptional. The homemade tomato sauce is singled out twice, once alongside a club sandwich called the best one a reviewer has had. Several describe food cooked fresh to order, with daily specials and monthly bistro evenings mentioned. Families note coloring books, children's cutlery and kids who asked for more beans. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and quick, and the coffee is praised. No reviewer raises a complaint. One mentions that some tables were reserved, and a party of five was glad to have rung ahead for lunch. One reviewer returned after a long absence to find the old run of the mill cafe replaced by a modern one.

“Just when you think Mr Spoon has mastered all the deliciousness there possibly can be he serves up this festival of flavours in a special fit for this King... Lebanese Dahl smothering two perfectly made crumpets, accompanied with mint cucumber mayo, poached egg and a drizzle of chilli jam. I fully recommend adding the slow cooked pulled mutton option just to crown this divine delight. Mr Spoon you've done it again! Thank you.”

“We went with family as a party of 5 for lunch. We had rung to book, which was lucky as it was busy when we arrived. All the staff were very friendly and we were served quickly. There is ample choice on the menu and the prices are very reasonable. The food was delicious and excellent quality. Highly recommended.”

“We had a gorgeous lunch I had the pulled lamb and asked if I could have it on the homemade crumpets which were so light. My friend had the Lebanese Dhal and thoroughly enjoyed theirs as well.”
