Customer Review Summary

Afternoon tea is the draw reviewers raise most, with sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, warm quiche, sides and a slice of cake, and one calls it the best they have had. Close behind are the homemade cakes and scones, with raspberry and blueberry scones and takeaway cake mentioned, along with fresh, hot breakfasts. One reviewer likes that the English breakfast comes in two sizes, and another praises generous toasties eaten outdoors. Reviewers repeatedly describe the staff as friendly and welcoming, even when the tea rooms were full and busy. Dietary needs get specific mentions: a group received gluten free versions of everything on the afternoon tea, and milk alternatives were available for drinks. Dog owners note water provided for their dog. The only criticism comes from one breakfast visitor, who found the room quiet and awkward as the only diners and suggested background music. Another reviewer's teapot was topped up without charge.

“Came in with a group for afternoon tea for my SIL's hen party. Food was incredible, cakes were amazing, the atmosphere was perfect and the staff were wonderful. The afternoon tea was incredibly priced and so worth it, came with sandwiches, scones with jam & cream, warm quiche, crisps salad and coleslaw, a slice of cake and a hot or cold drink. Range of drinks and syrups was awesome. We had two gluten free guests and they received gluten free options of everything that everyone else received. One member was lactose intolerant and was able to have a milk alternative. Finally, two of our party had mobility issues and we were able to navigate this well with the help of the incredibly friendly staff. I would highly recommend coming here! ❤️”

“Lovely little tea room. Friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. Milk alternatives available for drinks. We visited around lunch time so it was quite busy but still easy to talk to and quick service. Would definitely visit again if in the area xx”

“We stopped on a trip down the M1 after good reviews online. We were not disappointed! Gluten free options and a dog friendly environment made it an ideal stop. The lovely weather together with generous and tasty toasties made eating outdoors surrounded by a variety of plants a pleasure. Personal touches, such as providing water for our dog and topping up our teapot without charge, together with a very friendly staff has definitely put this gem on our 'will be back' list. Thank you for your kindness.”
