Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often return for the coffee, with a latte and a hot chocolate singled out, along with the cakes, pastries and sandwiches. A club sandwich gets praise twice, and others name a bagel and croissant, beef and gravy with fries, a tuna melt, sweet potato fries, both beef and vegetable chilli, and milkshakes, all described as tasty, fresh or really good. Service is called friendly and welcoming, though a couple of reviewers found it a little slow.

“Food is okay, looks better than it tastes. coleslaw is unseasoned, watery chicken flatbread, stem left on tomato on breakfast. chef said they were unable to do poached eggs but could offer fried eggs so just lazy, bare in mind there was only us and one other table that had already eaten. Decor is nice shame the walls next to table have bits of food and grubby marks on them and there’s cobwebs dangling from the ceiling and loads all over the tree decoration and the containers the knife and forks in are filthy but front of house have lots of time to chat and giggle about different Facebook groups??? Shame they don’t put same effort in to cleaning, overall not great and certainly overpriced for the quality of service and food.”

“Friendly cafe with the usual options for tea and coffee. Plenty of choice for cakes and bakes. Busy, friendly service.”
  • Anita Simpson
“I have just ordered 2 bacon sandwiches to take out. I asked for 1well done bacon and tomato in bread cake and 1 well done bacon, tomato and egg between two slices of toast. ( the order was repeated back to me!!!) When I got home, both sandwiches were on bread cake!! I have just seen the cost of these sandwiches as my banking app popped up. I have been charged £16.50 for the pleasure of a wrong order. This is extortionate. We will not be stepping foot in there again.”
