About Heights of Alma & The Shack At The Back
Heights of Alma & The Shack At The Back is a pub on Alma Street in Sheerness, working as a pub, takeout restaurant and restaurant under one roof. Sunday roast is a regular fixture on the menu, served with roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings, and a gluten free menu runs alongside for those who need it. Burgers, including a bacon and cheese option, round out the food side, and live music is hosted regularly. The kitchen also prepares food for collection, extending the menu beyond the dining room. Dogs are welcome in the beer garden, where a bowl of water is put out for visiting pets, and the garden is home to a cat that lives there.

“This gem of a pub, in the heart of Sheerness, has been our local for the last 7 months. We have fallen absolutely in love with everything about the pub. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The food is great and the chefs are very accommodating. They even have a gluten free menu. The beer garden is perfect for a family lunch and the best of all is they are pet friendly. There is always a fresh bowl of water for your dog to drink. Our lab Harry loves that he can go with us when we pop in for a cold beer. I highly recommend you pop in and see what it is all about.”

“A real jewel of a pub! 🍻 The Heights of Alma in Sheerness is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, there’s a fantastic atmosphere, genuinely friendly service and a warmth that makes you want to stay for another drink. The food is superb and, for me, the Sunday roast is the star of the show — generous, beautifully cooked and full of flavour. What makes it even better is that the quality goes far beyond what you’d expect for the price. It genuinely punches well above its weight. Add regular live music, a great crowd and that proper pub atmosphere, and you’ve got somewhere that is a real asset to Sheerness. Great food, great service, great entertainment and fantastic value. The Heights of Alma is a little jewel — highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
