About Amie's Kitchen
On High St in Seaford, Amie's Kitchen is a restaurant with a Vietnamese menu that sets traditional noodle soups and snacks beside other Asian dishes, including dim sum and pad thai. Bun thit xao brings cold noodles with a dressing sauce and fried chicken. Vegan options are also on the menu. The dining room is small, with roughly ten tables. The duck dish takes up to 30 minutes, so it is worth knowing before ordering. A fortune cookie comes after the bill is paid.

“It was second time I have been to this restaurant. Waitress was polite, but service was slow. We have ordered duck but were told it takes up to 30min so ordered chicken instead but waited for nearly 30min anyway. Honestly nothing special we cook better at home. The soup was nice however after waiting for nearly 30min they forgot to put meat in it. So I had to ask staff and wait another 10min. I like Vietnamese food a lot but have been in better restaurants.”

“We stumbled upon Amie’s kitchen on our trip to Seaford and we were so happy to find an authentic Vietnamese place. Amie and her staff were so welcoming to all of us. My wife and her friend are both Vietnamese and Amie made them and all of …”

“This is the only Vietnamese restaurant in Seaford, although the menu is more of a mixed Asian cuisine selection. In addition to traditional Vietnamese noodle soups and snacks, they also serve dim sum, pad thai, and fried udon. I tried the bun thit xao (cold noodles with dressing sauce) with fried chicken. The sauce was already added to the bowl when it was served, so you just needed to mix everything together before eating. The flavour was quite good, especially if you’ve been missing Vietnamese cuisine. After paying the bill, they also gave me a fortune cookie, which was a nice little touch.”

“Came to spend overnight from London and found this place from Google. Food seemed nice from pictures and reviews already mentioned of the service could be slow. This review has nothing to do with the poor lad working alone as server/ Waiter. The place place was full ( place might have 10 tables max) , only 1 person to great customers, clean tables, take orders ,bring food ( sometimes 2nd person bringing food to tables. We seat on the table 19:30, ( 2 people ) the poor waiter couldn't ask us what we wanted for drinks, after 15 min we manage to order everything in one go. We ordered 3 starters and 2 main dishes . By 20:15 we got our starters, by 20:45 we didn't have yet our starters. I had to ask for the bill by 20:50 for our 3 starters and 2 ciders. Which came to £32, for 3 small starters of frozen food. In 1:15 minutes few tables around us finished and payed for their bills, and the waiter couldn't even clean tables as he had to be all over the place dealing with all restaurant himself. 2 more couples walked in and they were seated. And 4 more tables included us were waiting for their food for at least 30-40 minutes To the owner of the restaurant , if you know your place will be busy on weekends, get more staff !! When I asked to the waiter why was taking too long, we were told that they had some take away orders from uber / deliveroo / just eat to prepare, and that was the reason they were taking too long. If you have customers already seated on your restaurant, the priority should be your customers, not take away platform orders . visited Sunday 24/05/2027 at 19:30”

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers come for Vietnamese cooking, with one praising the bun thit xao with fried chicken as good in flavour and another welcoming the authentic feel and the vegan options. A fortune cookie after the bill pleased one diner. Slow service is the recurring complaint: one reviewer describes a single waiter handling a full room and starters arriving very late, another a soup served without its meat.
