Customer Review Summary
Reviewers mostly praise the food, with the lamb and truffle fries singled out, and the pancakes at breakfast. Several describe friendly, efficient staff. The recurring complaint is slow service: a long wait for drinks and food, wrong orders, and a bar that ran out of cocktails. One found a jacket potato with six beans and a small amount of cheese meagre.

“We arrived for an early dinner and were only the second table in. On arrival, the manager mentioned he was feeling stressed about a busy evening ahead, which unfortunately set a slightly tense tone from the start. My friend and I were 15 minutes ahead of the rest of our group, so we asked if we could order drinks while we waited. The answer was yes, though it came across as a little hesitant, which left us unsure whether we'd asked for something inconvenient. A waitress came over almost immediately to take our order, but as we hadn't yet been given a drinks menu, she brought one over. She then didn't return until the rest of our group arrived, so we missed the chance to get started (and spend more money!). A few of our orders came out wrong. The manager explained the waitresses were brand new, which we completely understood. However, it was disappointing that after just one round of 7 cocktails, we were told the bar had run out, especially as we were only the second table in the restaurant. Better stock planning from management would help avoid this, particularly ahead of an evening they knew would be busy. The news was also delivered by the manager in a way that made us feel as though we'd done something wrong, I quote ‘you’ve drank everything’. We then switched to spirits and mixers and soft drinks. On the cocktails themselves, the spicy margaritas had no noticeable heat, and the espresso martini was far too sweet for our taste. A little more balance would make a big difference. The food was the highlight. It took a while to arrive, but it was worth the wait. The truffle fries were delicious, and the lamb was beautifully cooked with a slight blush in the centre. Overall, there's room for improvement, particularly in front-of-house communication, stock planning and cocktail consistency. With some fine-tuning, this restaurant has real potential, and I'd love to see it get there. P.S. the front automatic door was constantly left open so a cold breeze was blowing on us. We got up at least 10 times to close the internal door, please fix!”

“I went today and the food was amazing, place was very welcoming and my server a lady with brunette hair and tattoos was amazing, she welcomed us and made sure we was comfortable, and did all this with a smile on her face which just made our meal so much more comfortable amazing server and beautiful food will definitely be back again”

“Lunch with friends. Lovely setting, but very echoey, noisy and hard to hear conversation. Staff friendly. Took a while to get the food. Opted for jacket potato with cheese and beans for £9.50 very disappointing. Literally 6 baked beans (I counted!) with the smallest splodge of cheese and a few dry salad leaves. Really not worth £9.50. Diet Coke £3.50. Found the lunch menu a bit limited. I’ve previously been to Imaginarium at Barton which was much better, with food off the main menu. All in all I found this place expensive and over rated with the meagre portions being the biggest disappointment. If you have a choice, I’d opt for the one at Barton.”
