  “Although it was busy there was such a great atmosphere. The staff were all friendly, helpful and efficient. Our waiter was absolutely lovely ,friendly and professional. He made my friend and i feel very welcome,and nothing was too much trouble.”

  “Falsely advertised £10 lunchtime offer. We were charged full price, despite informing staff we wanted to use that offer, and ordering off the menu for that offer. Apparently had to be ordered via the app but this was not mentioned at all on the board on which it was advertised or by staff. We then tried to download and use the app after already being given the incorrect bill but it did not work. Pizza express refuse to refund overcharge.”

  “Fantastic staff who were very kind and patient with a large group, 16+ including children. Seamless booking, we pre-ordered and all meals were correct and brought efficiently. Thank you to the lovely waitress (I didn’t catch her name, young lady with colours in her hair) and Chris!”

  “Tried to offer Padana pizza without caramelised onions as they had run out of caramelised onions! Offered alternative topping but that’s not a padana. My wife’s linguini with prawns contained plastic olives. The spice overpowered every other flavour and there were only 6 prawns in the dish. Won’t be frequenting this chain again”

  “We visited Pizza Express Salisbury as a party of eight (six adults and two young children) for a celebration, arriving at 6:45pm on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was only about half full and operating solely on the ground floor. Unfortunately, the dining area felt uncomfortably cold due to the outer door being left open. We were told it couldn’t be closed, which was surprising, as it noticeably affected our experience while seated. We did ask about moving, and the manager kindly showed us the upstairs area, but we chose to stay downstairs. When the inner door was eventually closed, the temperature improved, so it’s unclear why this wasn’t addressed sooner. Service had a few avoidable lapses. We had to request children’s menus and again ask for colouring crayons, which ideally should have been offered proactively given the presence of young children. After placing our order, we were informed, after some delay, that cannelloni was unavailable. By this point, other meals had already started arriving, which meant one guest had to wait longer for a replacement dish. Better communication earlier on would have prevented this disruption. My Fiorentina pizza unfortunately arrived cold, as though it had been left standing before serving. To their credit, the team replaced it promptly, and the fresh version was very good. Overall, the staff were friendly and polite, but the combination of slow communication, missing menu items, delays in service, and the initial discomfort due to the cold environment detracted from what should have been a smooth celebratory meal. The children especially enjoyed the food, but improvements in attentiveness and service efficiency would make a noticeable difference to the overall experience”

  “We had a lovely experience at Pizza Express in Salisbury, and a big part of that was thanks to Milo, who looked after our table. He was engaging, charming, and an absolute credit to the company. His calm and friendly manner immediately put us at ease and made the whole evening even more enjoyable. While the food was very good, it was Milo’s service that truly stood out and made our visit memorable. He clearly takes pride in what he does, and it shows. His parents should be incredibly proud of the way he represents himself—he’s a fantastic ambassador for great customer service. We hope he gets the recognition he deserves! Manager, please pass this on to him. Thanks”

  “Party of 7 arrived at Pizza Express Salisbury at 12.20. Fairly quiet only c. 50% occupancy and only using the downstairs. Took ages from start to finish, we were finally able to leave after paying bill 2 hours and 15 minutes after arriving. Felt about as far from Express as you could get! To be fair I got the feeling they may have been short staffed. Was cold in the restaurant, they kept the outer door open on a wintery day and the inner door was not that good, so felt the chill sitting down being inactive, expect the staff moving about didn't notice it as much as diners would have. Ordered drinks, starters, main and layer kids desserts. 10 minutes after ordering starters, we were told (by a nice member of staff) they didn't have any milk or eggs (and manager was going to Tesco to buy some and they didn't know how long that would take) so would we like something else in the salads instead of egg or to change our order. I then asked if that would mean my Fiorentina pizza wouldn't come with an egg to which they said oh yes. So we had another go at ordering something different /swapping ingredients in the salad. Drinks arrived about 15 mins after placing order and starters arrived about 30 minutes after we placed the order. Main courses (4 adult & 2 childrens pizzas + a salad) took about 20 mins to arrive after starters. We then ate main course and there was a long wait before we were offered dessert. All in all, food was what you would expect so fine. Staff were pleasant enough, but the issues with not having ingredients the time it took and the cold restaurant were all negatives overall. Hopefully this was just a bad visit, will try some other time to see if it was just an unfortunate blip.”

  “We stopped off for a bite to eat at this restaurant today (Sunday 18th of Jan). It’s the first time we’ve been here because we live in Blackpool, Lancashire and were down visiting our son, daughter in law and new born baby Peggie, who’s only 11 weeks old today. Half way through being breast fed Peggie decided she didn’t want to be latch on and screamed the place down, much to the embarrassment of mum who then became really upset thinking it was her fault. The service up to this point had been great and the food fabulous but it was the reaction after this that prompted me to write this. Milo, the guy who looked after us was amazing. He was calm, reassuring and very attentive and an absolute credit to himself and his parents in the way he dealt with the situation. Pizza Express, you have an amazing employee in Milo and this should be recognised. Milo, if you ever read this my friend…..thank you again, it was a pleasure to meet you and an honour to shake your hand before I left. My family are important to me and the compassion you showed will not be forgotten. I wish you every success in everything you do. 👍🏼”
