  “Popped in on our way home but wanting to eat out. Checked the reviews beforehand, but everyone saying the food was good, even when leaving lower star reviews. We decided to give it a go. Got in and the gentleman sat us straight away, we had a baby and he was quick to accommodate. Got us our drinks, asked if we needed more time to look over the menu, they had plenty of takeouts and plenty of space but it was fairly busy throughout our visit… not one unhappy person from what we witnessed. Also plenty of parking outside. We had the Mixed Combo and Mixed Grill… Came out at a decent time frame and the gentleman who served us all night was very good with our little one. The food was amazing, we absolutely will be coming back… when the server came to collect our plates and asked if we wanted deserts, I asked for another Mixed Grill… our daughter loved it as well, especially the chicken, bulgur wheat and the Adana… the lamb chops for me was my favourite part… 3 mains 4 drinks… £84… Honeslty can not fault anything about the price, the service, the atmosphere and the food which was on point. Can’t wait to come back…”

  “Absolutely fantastic meal at Elif Turkish Barbecue in Wickersley. The food was fresh, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The mixed grill was excellent, with generous portions and beautifully cooked meats, and the seafood dish was equally impressive. The service was friendly, attentive and welcoming from start to finish, making for a really enjoyable dining experience. Great food, great service and great value for money. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality Turkish food in the area. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

  “Great food. Was full when we came, even though we'd booked, but they sorted us out. Would've liked the bread a bit earlier but... The food was amazing! Definitely recommend.”

  “Great food and we were well looked after by the staff. I'm vegetarian and didn't struggle for dishes. The hummus was delicious and the vegetarian moussaka is highly recommended. Reasonable priced food too.”

  “TLDR version. Loud laughter from a neighbouring table throughout the evening marred the event for my family. Hi, I took my family of 5, youngest was 12 for a sit down meal on Saturday the 6th in the evening, 7pm slot. Meal was fine and the restaurant was pretty full with only a couple of single tables empty. Service was good, food was good. 4 middle aged women arrived after us and occupied the four seats directly behind my youngest. They were loud from start to finish with their conversation and especially their piercing laughter throughout. I paused eating and decided to get up and speak to the staff at their till , I was quite calm in relating the facts. Shortly later the Manager popped over to me at my table , acknowledged my observation and decided not to take it further. To paraphrase, .. if I say something they'll only get louder. … Ok, I said to myself, and carried on with our evening, disappointed for sure, but hey ho. The table of 4 middle aged women later settled up their bill and left. We decided not to have a coffee and desserts and settled up the bill at the counter with a tip. During this interaction, the manager did say that the ladies did apologise when they were leaving / paying their bill. On reflection its unfortunate that bad behaviour, in my opinion, has been rewarded and good behaviour has been side-lined with the path of least resistance taken by the manager.”
