Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the generous, freshly made food, with the homemade bread at the start of the meal and the chicken shish cooked on coal for its smoky flavour singled out. The mixed warm starters, the set menu platter with three cold starters, couscous and rice, and the lahmacun and chips also earn mentions, and one reviewer calls the Iskender very good. Several describe friendly servers, and two say the restaurant marked a birthday and a wedding anniversary with a surprise. The cocktails and the cold beer get a nod too. Criticism is smaller but specific. One reviewer found the Adana kebab inside the Alti Ezmeli small and dry, and wanted a creamier, more lemony hummus and a top-up of the bread, which cools before the food arrives. Another enjoyed the cocktails and quick, hot food but says the servers met their smiles with blank faces at a noon booking, and won't return. One notes menu items aren't marked vegetarian or vegan, though their group built a sharing meal from starters and salad.

“Really great find. Food is excellent. Very good menu with lots of traditional choices. Accommodating switches on set items on the mixed meze and well made dishes. Will return.”

“So we heard that we can have a proper Turkish Iskender in Strood, 15 min from our house. We've tried this today and it is 10000 stars. Food is very good, staff is very kind and the beer was really cold ❤️”

“Went here for the first time and I have to say that the food was quality. They gave me home made bread which was proper tasty. I then had the chicken Shish and the chicken was freshly cooked on coal so it had the Smokey flavour to it. Salad was also lovely. I would definitely be going back”

“Items on menu not identified as vegetarian or vegan. However we made our own sharing meal with several starters and salad. All of which were delicious. Parked just across the road which is free but has a time limit.”

“We had one of the set menu options for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. It came with 3 cold starters and home made bread, an enormous platter, couscous, rice and salad. Food was delicious and the lady that served us was so lovely. We were 4 adults and ate very well. The portions are generous and well presented. Highly recommend this restaurant.”
