Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise large portions of freshly cooked food, with several describing it as hot and made to order, and a few calling it good value. Regulars of ten years or more describe homemade food and a couple running the place, and the counter staff are repeatedly called friendly, pleasant, jolly and lovely. One reviewer calls it the best Chinese takeaway they have visited, and another names it their favourite in the area. The dissent is sharp but small. One diner found the salt and pepper chicken strips and salt and pepper chips gross and binned them. Another, who rated the food middling, describes thin noodles, tiny freshwater prawns and chips that looked oil-soaked, and reports that they and their partner have not felt well since eating it. Among the happier accounts, one diner's beef curry and chicken and mushroom chow mein turned into food for three days.

“Great little takeaway. The food was quick cooked to order (we had a bit of a walk back, but it all stayed nice and hot). The portions were a good size and tasted great. The proprietor was very pleasant and an added bonus they are a cash only business, "CASH IS KING".”

“Food wasn’t the greatest, they cheaped out on ingredients like think noodles, lucky boat noodles arnt expensive and they used tiny freshwater prawns and chips that looked like they been soaking in oil for 2 days. Me and my partner haven’t been very well since eating the food, on a positive the lady on the till was lovely”

“The food is excellent, one of the best if not the best Chinese takeaways I have visited only been there twice because it's along way from where we live , but saying that it would be worth booking into a hotel for the night just to have a meal from there. The lady serving behind the counter is very jolly and pleasant , can't wait to go there again.”
